After only one season playing in the Buffalo system for their AHL affiliate Portland Pirates, 8th year veteran defenseman, tough guy Tim Conboy(38) signs a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa that will likely see him protecting their interests in Binghamton for 2011/2012.
He’s played 59 games in the NHL, all when he was with Carolina Hurricanes but failed to get promoted with the Sabres.
