University Of Connecticut Huskies‘ 2022/2023 commit, right wing Jake Black(19) switched up junior leagues to play for Johnstown Tomahawks in 2021/2022 and is pumping the scoring with 18 goals and 15 assists through 26 NAHL games with a +16 rating.

The 5’11” 181 lbs. forward has already surpassed marks he posted last season in the USPHL/NCDC.

Hockey East should welcome the style of the 19-year old.

After 2 seasons and a sophomore high 24 games, 2 goals and 2 assists, he enters the transfer portal and will skate for Bentley University Falcons as a junior 2024/2025.

Colorado College Tigers‘ senior defenseman Nicklas Andrews(37) will add a year of eligibility and head close to home at Michigan State University Spartans for 2024/2025, a graduate season.

The 5’10” 192 lbs. blue liner has 3 times produced 10+ assists.

In his 2nd USHL campaign, he was captain of Des Moines Buccaneers, scoring 14 helpers.

The 22-year old from Canton, MI should do well for last year’s highly ranked team.

University Of Maine Black Bears‘ senior right wing Donovan Villeneuve-Houle(96) signs an ato with San Jose Barracuda to get his pro career going.

The 6’1″ 195 lbs. had a college best 15 assists and 24 points last season.

He grabbed a 1st AHL assist in his 2 of 3 games played thus far.

The Montreal, QC native did a pair of SJHL junior seasons for Flin Flon Bombers before heading to school.

At 24-years old, he absolutely ready and signs a deal for 2024/2025.

Clarkson University Golden Knights‘ senior defenseman Noah Beck(18) takes 2 years of 17 assists to a graduate season at Arizona State University Sun Devils for 2024/2025.

The Richmond Hill, ON native did 1 season juniors OJHL before coming down to the USHL upon the encouragement of new college team and then getting drafted by St. Louis Blues in the 7th round of 2020 (#194 overall).

He scored well with 4 goals and 23 assists in 44 games.

The 6’3″ 183 lbs. blue liner will likely do well playing his new club’s independent schedule.

Dartmouth College Big Green sophomore goaltender Cooper Black(31) puts up some college career best numbers with a 13-8-8 record with a 2.58 GAA and .910 SV%, including 2 shutouts.

The absolute giant 6’8″ 240 lbs. undrafted backstop signs a 2-year entry level  contract with Florida Panthers, starting next season, but will join the team on a pto for the playoffs.

From Alpena, MI, he did 2 NAHL campaigns with almost identical stats, but played on a better team to start.

The 22-year old was complete shutdown as a senior USHS-MI.

He reports to affiliate Charlotte Checkers on a pto to start.

Plymouth State University Panthers‘ senior defenseman Brett Lockhart(18) signs a 1st pro contract with Port Huron Prowlers of the FPHL and has 1 goal in 5 games, and no points in 3 playoff games, as he wraps up his 1st foray into being a pro.

The 6’1″ 181 lbs. blue liner scored a college best 11 assists and 11 points last season with a +17 rating in 27 games.

He played no junior hockey, heading straight to college from Tilton School USHS-Prep.

We shall see where the 23-year old from Braintree, MA signs next, but has himself a nice start.

Newfoundland Growlers‘ rookie center Grant Cruikshank(19) has really ignited his scoring when he was reassigned by AHL contract club, Toronto Marlies.

In 35 ECHL games, he has 21 goals and 22 assists with a +9 rating.

Undrafted, he cycled through 3 colleges, his 1st 3 years at Colorado College Tigers, then 1 apiece with University Of Minnesota Golden Gophers and a graduate frame for St. Cloud State University Huskies.

He twice had 10+ goals, but exploded for 23 in his final year.

From Delafield, WI, the 25-year old won a BCHL Championship in his 1st junior season and is turning out to be quite the pro.

With his team going belly up, he went back to his contract club, but didn’t figure in any playoff games.

He will need a new deal for 2024/2025.

American International College Yellowjackets‘ graduate right wing Austen Long(44) takes a college high 38 games played, 8 goals, 8 assists and 16 points with a 5-year +21 rating to a 1st pro contract with Fayetteville Marksmen, where through 1 playoff game, he has yet to score a point, but we have to think he’s right on the cusp.

The 5’11” 175 lbs. forward skated 4 years of juniors and won a 2017 USHL Clark Cup Championship with Chicago Steel.

From Omaha, NE, the 26-year old is likely just getting started.
