5th year, undrafted forward Tim Spencer(33) started the 2011/2012 season in the ECHL with Chicago Express and Trenton Titans but it didn’t take long for him to earn a call-up to the AHL with Springfield Falcons.

Originally signing a pto with the team in November, he was recently upped to a standard player contract after just 12 games and three fights where he just pummeled his opponent.

He’s oversized at 6’6″ 230 lbs. and has no problem stepping in to protect his teammates or give a beat down on a deserving member of the other team.

9th year pro goalie Joel Martin(49) has bounced around many different North American leagues and teams in his career but for the first time he’s looking elsewhere, overseas to continue.

For the 2011/2012 season he signed with Herlev Hornets of AL-Bank Ligaen (Danish Pro Hockey League).

Last season, the 28-year old netminder appeared in a career high AHL games (18 with Bridgeport Sound Tigers).

He also played in 29 games with Odessa Jackalopes of the Central Hockey League and was called-up as an emergency back-up for one game with New York Islanders.

The hardest of the hard-nosed players (and the one with the longest name) Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond(34) was traded to Calgary Flames for a 5th round pick in next year’s draft.

He’d gone south in the New Jersey system and it was time for him to find some new, unchartered territory (in Alberta).

He may find himself a good amount of playing time in the Western Conference as a fourth line instigator, if he can keep his temper in check.

Does this look like a guy who would cause problems on the ice?
