Canisius College Golden Griffins‘ 2023 Atlantic Hockey Championship senior goaltender Jake Barczewski(30) is heading to University Of Michigan Wolverines for the start of a graduate program and is likely ready for the Big Ten challenge.
The 6’1″ 180 lbs. net minder appeared in his 100th NCAA Division 1 game with his now former club last season.
With a good season where he’s headed, the 24-year old from O’Fallon, MO could easily continue to raise his stake heading into unrestricted free agency.
He starts a college career high 37 games with stats very much in line with what he posted previously, but a 20-14-3 is best in that category, winning record.
Upon graduation, he signs a 1-year AHL deal with Colorado Eagles.
He is dispatched to affiliate Utah Grizzlies, where he starts a phenomenal 40 games.
An unrestricted free agent, he signed with Bloomington Bison for 2025/2026, but as his 1st start doesn’t go maybe as planned and gets swapped back to Utah.
And once again, he moves and will now join Idaho Steelheads.
