A small town, Auburn, MA (out near Worcester) college hockey team barely 10 years out of its infancy, Anna Maria College AMCATS advances to an NCAA D3 tournament bid after winning their MASCAC Conference for a 1st time in only 2 year of play since abandoning their independent schedule.

Junior goaltender Matthew Hennessey(30) posted a 3-0 shutout in the game to cinch the appearance in a season where he posted a 17-3-2 record with a 1.83 GAA and .945 SV% and was named Player Of The Year.

They traveled to face-off against University Of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils to advance.
