Undrafted 3rd year right wing Dane Walters(19) re-signs for 2015/2016 with Rockford IceHogs.

He started the season under contract with affiliate Toledo Walleye, where he played 27 ECHL games scoring 9 goals and 8 assists with a -1 rating but was loaned to the AHL team in February and never left.

The 5’11” 190 lbs. forward skates with a lot of tenacity, appeared in 19 games scoring 1 goal and 5 assists with a +1 rating on a mostly fourth line checking role.

After four good years at Western Michigan University, where he won the 2012 NCAA/CCHA Championship as a junior, was selected team captain as a senior and won Best Defensive Forward award for 2012/2013 he turned pro with three games for Worcester Sharks.

He signed his first deal in 2013/2014 with Elmira Jackals and spent his rookie season with them getting 10 goals and 13 assists in 50 games.

The 26-year old will in all likelihood put up career numbers in the forthcoming campaign.
