He also held down a tidy +7 rating on a non-playoff squad.
The sturdy built 6’1″ 190 lbs. forward was a more than point per game guy in his last pair of campaigns in the QMJHL.
At just 21-years old, the Boston native might settle in nice at the next level and grab some offense, but if not he could be reassigned to affiliate Kalamazoo Wings and continue to tear.
He also just spent some time in Vancouver Canucks‘ training camp.

Los Angeles Kings‘ 4th round pick in the 2013 draft (#103 overall) right wing Justin Auger(79) received his NHL debut early in the 2017/2018 season.
The enormous 6’6″ 232 lbs. skated 11 shifts for 8:15 of total ice time and had one play break-up in a 5-1 win.
He has spent all of his time previously with affiliates Ontario Reign and helped farm club Manchester Monarchs win the 2015 Calder Cup.
Credited with 202 AHL games on his resume, he has 43 goals and 42 assists with a +30 rating.
Never exactly a big scorer through three years of junior hockey with Guelph Storm, he did manage to win the 2014 OHL Championship before deciding to turn pro.
The 23-year old is likely a strong fourth line guy that can help protect the team but rarely mixes it up with fighting majors.
He mostly just needs to lean into an opposing player with intimidating size.

Undrafted rookie net minder Jack Flinn(40) has decided to head to college joining Queens University for 2017/2018 as goalie coach after spending his rookie season under AHL contract with Ontario Reign, where he appeared in 5 games.
He also had 13 ECHL starts on reassignment to Manchester Monarchs but seemed to struggle some in both leagues.
The absolutely huge 6’8″ 223 lbs. net minder had similar marks through 4 years of the OHL but was able to step it up pretty big in two years of playoffs with Owen Sound Attack and Mississauga Steelheads.
Even if the 21-year old finishes up a degree and return at a later date, he’ll be much more ready to go for a sophomore run at the pros.

3rd year center Cameron Darcy(19) clears unconditional waivers and has the final season of his entry level contract with Tampa Bay Lightning mutually terminated.
He skated two campaigns with affiliate Syracuse Crunch posting 7 goals and 12 assists in 90 AHL games but was also reassigned further down to Kalamazoo Wings, where he lit it up in 20 ECHL contests scoring 5 goals and 20 assists with a +11 rating.
For 2017/2018, he decides in favor of a return to the K-Wings but very possibly could find himself loaned up to Utica Comets on more than a few occasions.
The decently-sized 6′ 190 lbs. forward that plays a high energy style game bounced around quite a bit before turning pro, first skating with the USNTDP of the USHL for a pair of seasons before agreeing to head off to Northeastern University but that only last 9 appearances before he split for Muskegon Lumberjacks for the remainder of 2012/2013.
He then finished up with a couple of years in the QMJHL.
It’s likely the still super-young 23-year old finds his groove and may even get another look from a big league team or will split for some better hockey/better payday overseas.

12 year veteran center Rod Pelley(10) switches coasts for his next stop, signing a 1-year deal with Stockton Heat after being a Calgary Flames‘ training camp invite.
He spent the last four seasons as Albany Devils‘ captain keeping him within arms’ reach of New Jersey Devils, the team he initially came up with.
The not exactly big, scrappy forward played almost 4 campaigns exclusively in the NHL skating 256 games as fourth line energy guy.
He’s currently on the books as having skated 491 AHL games, which means he’ll cross that minor league benchmark in the upcoming season.
Never the biggest point-getter, he had 13 points in each of his last three years but it’s likely he’ll be given the “C” for his jersey
When the soon-to-be 34-year old will stop, seems to be entirely up to him.

10th year, former Arizona Coyotes‘ 1st round pick in the 2006 draft (8th overall), center Peter Mueller(88) jumps ship after a year with Providence Bruins to EC Salzburg of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.
He put up decent numbers scoring 13 goals and 12 assists in 56 AHL games, his first time skating for a minor league club.
The 6’2″ 209 lbs. forward played 6 seasons under an NHL contract but missed the entire 2010/2011 with post-concussion syndrome and had signed with St. Louis Blues for 2014/2015, but decided to opt out for a 2nd campaign for EHC Kloten of NLA, where he put up his best numbers: a league leading 24 goals and 23 assists.
It’s easy to think the 29-year will once again elevate his game in Austria but might move on elsewhere if that happens.

5th year goaltender Malcolm Subban(30) was waived by draft team Boston Bruins for reassignment as the new season was set to begin.
He did not make it through the wire as Las Vegas Golden Knights stepped in and claimed him to be their NHL back-up.
The 6’2″ 200 lbs. net minder has been unlucky in a pair of starts in the big league, but has pretty stellar marks in the minors with Providence Bruins posting a 2.40 GAA and .918 SV% in 127 AHL games and even better come playoff time.
He has yet to appear in a game with his new club but odds are the 23-year old, who signed a new two-year deal, will have better results.

Worcester Railers‘ rookie right wing Wade Murphy(12) scores the first goal in franchise history at the 10:13 mark of the first period to open the scoring in a 4-3 hometown team win in front of 12,135 at the DCU Center over rivals Manchester Monarchs.
He started his pro career on an ato with the opponents late last season after a pair of campaigns at Arizona State University and University Of North Dakota scoring 2 goals and 4 assists in 14 ECHL games.
The 6′ 190 lbs. forward was a Nashville Predators‘ 7th round pick in the 2013 draft (#185 overall) but never signed.
The almost 24-year old is off to a nice start with his new club.

After two seasons in draft team (4th round in 2013, #106 overall) New York Islanders‘ prospect system, goaltender Stephon Williams(35) failed to snag a qualifying offer to stay despite putting up some ok numbers.
He played 58 AHL games with affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers posting a 24-27-2 record with a 2.84 GAA and .899 SV%
The fairly large 6’3″ 195 lbs. net minder was assigned down on a couple of occasions to Kansas City Mavericks.
In 15 ECHL he had similar stats to what he posted in the higher league.
Through four years at Minnesota State University (Mankato) though, he was a feared backstop, twice winning the NCAA/WCHA Championship (2014 & 2015) and was also named goaltending champion for 2013 and 2015.
The 24-year old recently secured a new one-year deal to join San Jose Barracuda for 2016/2017 and should help them continue to excel.
