Undrafted, 2nd season Providence Bruins‘ forward Kirk MacDonald(13) was signed by Boston in late February, which gives him the ability to be recalled by the NHL team if needed now.
Good story there. He must’ve had the luck of the Irish on his side.

Undrafted, 2nd season Providence Bruins‘ forward Kirk MacDonald(13) was signed by Boston in late February, which gives him the ability to be recalled by the NHL team if needed now.
Good story there. He must’ve had the luck of the Irish on his side.
Forward Stefan Chaput(25) landed with the P-Bruins at the trade deadline in an AHL deal that also scored them David Laliberte for big guy Brian McGratton. This is Chaput third team this season. He started with Charlotte and then was shipped to Syracuse before arriving in Providence.
P-Bruins‘ defenseman Colby Cohen(26) has Pirates‘ forward Igor Gongalsky(22) in a head lock but is seemingly looking at one of the officials as if he’s doing no wrong.
Veteran forward Mark Parrish(13) went on a point scoring streak tear recently with the Pirates helping them into first place in the AHL Atlantic Division and was rewarded with his debut call-up to Buffalo for a couple of games.
Goalie Jeff Jakaitis(31) has now spent time in the net for AHL Atlantic Division rivals in the 2010/2011 season. He’s currently up from the CHL Dayton Gems with Portland Pirates. Earlier this season he played a few games for Worcester after Alex Stalock went down and Carter Hutton went up.
6′ 6″ rookie netminder Mikko Koskinen(1) got 4 games in with the ever-rotating crop of goalies New York Islanders were forced to use due to injuries in the 2010/2011 season and fared ok with a couple of wins despite a high goals against.
He’s done less well with Bridgeport where their lineup has also been injury-decimated.
He, along with Kevin Poulin, could find himself to be part of the goaltending future for the team.
1st year defenseman Blake Parlett(5) started the season in the ECHL with Whale affiliate Greenville Road Warriors but in 12 games in the AHL he’s made it onto the team’s clear day roster list for the playoffs and has folks talking about his future with the New York Rangers.
David Laliberte(10) is a nice trade deadline addition to the Providence Bruins, despite the team probably missing out on their second straight Calder Cup playoff run.
He’s currently with his third team this season with stops in Adirondack and Syracuse before making his way to R.I. but most people just talk about the ‘stache he’s sporting.
Whale forward Jeremy Williams(18) is all smiles after getting a goal to pull his team closer to the Sharks last Sunday at the DCU. After getting drafted by Toronto and spending four years in their system with his most call-ups between 2007-2009 where he notched 7 goals and 2 assists in 29 games played, he spent a year in Grand Rapids and is now in Connecticut. The Rangers only called him up once so far.
And the Whale wear yet another color away jersey, this time blue, last time white and green too.
4th year pro, all with Hartford/Connecticut, Brodie Dupont(9) received his first NHL call-up this season. He’s having a career year in the AHL.
