LA Kings‘ 2008 2nd round pick (#32 overall) Viacheslav Voynov(76) is having another career year but has yet to crack the lineup with the big club. I could see him going elsewhere next season as his three-year entry level contract expires.

Sabres‘ fourth year defenseman Marc-Andre Grangani(17) is really starting to develop into a potential full-time NHL player. He leads all AHL defensemen in assists and points this season and has helped power Portland in the Atlantic Division.
Worcester and Albany traded #15’s as Patrick Davis(15) and Steven Zalewski(15) switched teams in the NHL trade deadline AHL deal made by New Jersey and San Jose.
So far, the Devils are getting the better end of that swap with Zalewski absolutely lighting things up in the Tri-City for a team is on the outside of the Calder Cup playoff picture. If the Sharks make the playoffs, Davis could come alive.
New add for the Worcester Sharks at the NHL trade deadline, Michael Swift(16) has been a mini-sniper for the past two seasons in the Devils‘ organization but was expendable when New Jersey decided they needed veteran defenseman, Jay Leach(25) back in their system.
Swifty hasn’t exactly been putting the puck in the net too effectively for his new team: 13 games played, 1 goal 4 assists.
After spending the first third of the NHL season with the Blue Jackets, center Kyle Wilson(29) found himself waived and assigned to Springfield to get his goal scoring back on (and it worked). He’s been recalled the Columbus to see if he can find a pulse in their playoff hunt.
Blue Jackets‘ 1st round pick, #21 over in the 2009 draft, defenseman John Moore(7) has had some impressive moments in his first season in the AHL with Springfield Falcons, pay no attention to his depressing -18 plus/minus. Still, he’s earned himself a couple of NHL call-ups and played a couple of games for at least a taste of the action.
Is it an accident that the Buffalo-born 6′ 5″ giant defenseman Nick Tuzzolino(45) was called up from the ECHL Utah Grizzlies by the Sabres‘ AHL affiliate Portland Pirates or just a coincidence?
Either way, he’s fitting in nicely with the team in the 9 games he’s played.
Binghamton second year forward, 2007 late first round pick Jim O’Brien(19) has been rewarded for his remarkable point increase and play in the AHL with a couple NHL call-ups this season. He has yet to register a point in 5 games.
Mark Mancari(25) was just recalled for the second time this season. He’s 2nd in goals this year in the AHL and was first up until Nigel Dawes recent goal-splosion.
He has 2 goals 4 assists in 20 games played with the Sabres over 6 years in the organization. I find it insane that Buffalo picked him in the 7th round, 207th overall in the 2004. If he doesn’t produce this time, they’ll have to let him go elsewhere next season. They’ll have to..
