Here’s an odd one: Chris D’Alvise(9) gets a call-up from Springfield, who was the AHL affiliate of his ECHL team, Stockton Thunder last season. But for 2010/2011, San Jose Sharks signed an affiliation deal with Stockton and D’Alvise gets the nod from Springfield, who he didn’t receive a single call-up from last year.

In his first game with the Falcons on Saturday night in Syracuse, he gets a goal and two assists. He wasn’t so lucky Sunday vs. Worcester.

Boston Bruins 1st pick, 8th overall in the 2007 draft, Zach Hamill(9) finally lit the lamp on November 19 (his first in 15 games) to go along with the 10 assists he’s accumulated in the young 2010/2011 season with Providence.

I wonder if he’ll eventually be traded. Seems like the B’s don’t really have room for him with the big club and I feel if he was to get a call-up on a more permanent basis than the one game he got last year (1 assist) it would have been last season.

We’ll see…

A flurry of ECHL call ups for Bridgeport Sound Tigers lately and Wes O’Neill(8) from Kalamazoo Wings was one of them over the 11/19 weekend. He logged much ice time vs. Providence Bruins Friday night at the Dunk. Over the last couple of seasons, he’s logged some minutes for Colorado, while playing mostly in the AHL for their affiliate, Lake Erie Monsters. There’s a surprising number of guys with NHL experience playing in the E this year.
