Western New England University Golden Bears‘ senior defenseman Jack Mendeszoon(8) has a new college career best 7 assists in 22 games after transferring from 3 seasons at SUNY-Brockport Golden Eagles.

The big 6’4″ 194 lbs. blue liner played 2 seasons junior hockey with New Hampshire Avalanche and won the 2019 EHL Championship in his 1st year, then put up 32 assists in his 2nd frame.

From Metheun, MA, it will be interesting to see what the 24-year old chooses next.

He scores 1 goal and a new college best 14 assists, 15 points and takes them to a 1st pro contract with Evansville Thunderbolts, making him the 2nd from the team to do so with the SPHL club.

Springfield Pics‘ 3rd year defenseman, sometimes forward Nick Zanin(12) already has a junior best scoring 10 goals and 23 assists in 26 games this season for a team he has been with since youth hockey.

The 6’3″ 185 lbs. blue liner plays a tough game out there, regardless of where on the ice he gets put.

From Stockbridge, MA, the 20-year old should get USPHL spotted and pulled up for a look somewhere, but will definitely commit to a great school of his choice.

He has exploded for 20 goals and 37 assists in 41 games, but doesn’t receive much notice, but commits to Rivier University Raiders for 2025/2026 and will definitely help that team win games.

Worcester Jr. Railers‘ 3rd year defenseman Matt Schirm(6) commits to Nazareth University Golden Flyers for 2025/2026.

The 6’3″ 205 lbs. blue liner didn’t play a lot during the regular season last year, but helped the team win the 2024 EHL Championship with 2 goals and 2 assists in 9 games.

He and the team graduated to USPHL/NCDC play in the current frame and he has elevated his numbers to 3 goals and 5 assists in 35 games.

South Shore Kings‘ 2nd year, assistant captain, left wing Hunter Bruce(19) commits to University Of New England Nor’easters for 2025/2026.

The 5’11” 181 lbs. power forward has a junior best 16 goals and tying 19 assists for 35 points this season and helped his team with points and leadership win the 2024 USPHL/NCDC Dineen Cup.

From Drumouth, NS, the 20-year old will definitely be a force to deal with playing college hockey.

Reading Royals‘ 2nd year left wing Joseph Nardi(18) is leaving most of his earlier scoring behind with 17 goals and 30 assists in 66 ECHL games.

The 5’10” 179 lbs. forward skated 5 years at Northern Michigan University Wildcats before turning pro.

From Edmonton, ON, he did 3 junior AJHL seasons for Whitecourt Wolverines, running up 30+ assists twice.

The 26-year old was originally signed out of college by Manitoba Moose, but mostly reassigned despite a 1st AHL goal in 4 games.

He would put up bests 17 goals and 33 assists, but wants some different kind of hockey for his 3rd season, 2024/2025 and signs with Pioneers Voralberg of the IceHL.

Through 26 games, he does ok here, but searches for maybe a little higher level and signs with HK Dukla Michalovce, but in 11 games comes away with only 1 goal and a -8 rating.

He is heading back to the Royals, where it seems his point production riches are best, but still has to bring up that +/-.
