
Undrafted rookie center Kenny Hausinger(10) graduated UMass-Lowell Riverhawks a year ago, but decided to not pursue a contract in what was a very crowded crop after agreeing to terms with Worcester Railers, who ultimately had to opt out of 2020/2021. .
He dips a toe into the mix for 2021/2022 and signs a 1-year deal with Reading Royals.
The 5’9″ 195 lbs. forward has always put up decent numbers through college pretty much averaging 10 goals and 10 assists per session.
He was also solid through a pair of junior seasons, going for more than point-per-game production in the NAHL for Odessa Jackalopes, then potting 16 goals and 32 assists in 60 USHL games with Des Moines Buccaneers, which is where he was selected for college.
The 26-year old from Anchorage, AK could do very well in the ECHL.
In his 1st year, he comes away scoring 12 goals with 28 assists for 40 points in 57 games with a +12 rating, then adds another 7 points in the playoffs.
For 2022/2023, he decides to sign with rivals Norfolk Admirals, which could challenge his ability to connect, but also give them the 1st piece in their comeback.
After a goal and 4 assists in 11 games with a lowly -12 rating on a team that has only 2 wins, a trade to Wichita Thunder gives him a totally new lease on life, where he should be able to connect more effectively with scoresheet.

10th year defenseman Michael Boivin(28) returns to Graz99ers for a 2nd straight, 3rd overall season with the IceHL team.
It will be the 6′ 185 lbs. blue liner’s 7th season in Austria’s top league.
He 1st left for a couple of seasons after graduating from Colorado College Tigers, scoring 14 goals and 14 assists as a senior.
The Delta, BC native twice hit the 20+ assist mark and 1 ascended to 30 in a frame.
He’s only returned home for a pair of ECHL seasons and struck really well for Manchester Monarchs in his 1st run back.
At 32-years old, he’s still playing some good hockey and that’s all that likely matters.

University Of Notre Dame Fighting Irish pull into Boston College Eagles‘ Silvio Conte Forum for a matchup of 2 college ranked teams in a head-to-head battle on a Saturday afternoon.
The visitors came in storming, but the home team held off nicely until they blew open a 2-goal lead late to take the away game battle of non-conference teams 5-2.
Sophomore right wing Tyler Carpenter(28) had 2 goals and an assist in the effort, putting all his totals much above his 1st year.

Suffolk University Rams welcome a visit from non-conference UMass-Dartmouth Corsairs and even though the visitors get on the board first, they are answered until a 3rd goal is given up to the away team.
The home team didn’t stop pressing, pulling their goalie and all the stops to tie this thing up, then senior right wing Griffin Clark(14) connects to even it at 3 with extended time heeding no result, where this game looked to go before it even started.

7th year center Nick Lappin(28) re-decides retirement and will return to the ice, signing a 1-year ECHL deal with Florida Everblades, his 1st journey into the league, since signing a pair of AHL deals for the last couple seasons.
Undrafted, he signed a 2-year NHL entry level deal after skating 4 frames at Brown University Bears, 2 as assistant captain and after his point-per-game senior session, he signed an ato with affiliate Albany Devils and scored 3 goals and 4 assists in 12 games, then another 7 points in 11 playoff matchups to get his pro career started.
The 6’1″ 174 lbs. forward played most of his rookie season in the upper league, but had a pretty miserable -17 rating, but was a solid scorer at the lower level.
For his next two years he mostly toiled in the minors.
At 30-years old, he likely wasn’t ready to give up the game he loves quite yet and will be an invaluable part of the dressing room for his new club.

The 6’3″ 185 lbs. net minder currently has a 4-0 mark with a 1.31 GAA and .948 SV%, which will definitely start to get him noticed.

Game View 11/19: Mercyhurst University Lakers‘ graduate goaltender Tyler Harmon(30) puts up a magnificent 47 effort to solidify a 4-1 win to earn his 1st victory of the season and 2-game visitors’ sweep of Holy Cross College Crusaders for an early season Atlantic Hockey contest.
The 6’2″ 205 lbs. net minder did 5 years at University Of Vermont Catamounts, mostly putting up decent numbers despite losing records and played in only 4 of those campaigns.

Game View 11/18: Elmira College Soaring Eagles make it back into the area from some official NEHC action and take on home team, UMass-Boston Beacons at the Edward T. Barry Rink on campus.
Freshman goaltender Kyle Curtain(30) has been extra stingy, helping the team with their 3 wins and no losses, earning a 1.67 GAA and .950 SV% in his team’s 4-1 away game win, making 42 saves.

13th year defenseman Matt Bartkowski(43) was released from his tryout by New York Rangers as the new season begun.
It took him a few weeks to find himself a new deal for 2022/2023, but he decides to sign with Rochester Americans.
The 6’1″ 194 lbs. blue liner will add to his 436 AHL game total and even if he misses a few games could roll 500 games played in the league.
He also has 236 NHL appearances to his credit.
The former 2-year Ohio State University Buckeyes was originally a Florida Panthers‘ 7th round pick in 2008 (#190 overall), but signed his 1st entry level deal with Boston Bruins, where he stuck in the system for 5 sessions, including his 1st pair of full frames in the big league.
At 34-years old, he has earned well, so must just still love playing the game and giving back at this point to the younger set playing minor league hockey.
