Nathan Todd (29)

9th year center Nathan Todd(29) is doing well in the KHL with Spartak Moskva, but finds himself on the trade block and dealt to Ak Bars Kazan for what remains of 2025/2026.

He is scoring in the Russian league with 38 assists last season.

The good sized 6’1″ 190 lbs. forward had 55 points with San Jose Barracuda , while under contract to San Jose Sharks before splitting.

After 2 OHL years of juniors he finished up a 2nd whack at turning pro by heading to Carleton University Ravens to potentially finish up some school work.

He is a point-per-game player after the trade, but decides to sign with yet another league team, agreeing to terms with Metallurg Magnitogorsk for 2026/2027.

Tory Dello (5)

Grand Rapids Griffins‘ rookie defenseman Tory Dello(5) signed an ato with the team after finishing up his 4th season at Notre Dame University Fighting Saints, tying his career high 13 points with a modest new best 3 goals.

He was set to report to affiliate Toledo Walleye, but got the call late to get in the car and drive up to Michigan and report for game action.

The solid 6′ 200 lbs. blue liner played a single contest, when the pandemic outbreak shut down basically sports and everything.

He was almost immediately signed to a one-year AHL deal to return for 2020/2021.

The 24-year old spent three years, including the last as team captain in juniors skating for Tri City Storm of the USHL.

Even though he only recorded a pair of assists in 19 games with a +4 rating, it would seem like he would be invited back to play a full season.

For 2021/2022, the Crystal Lake, IL native scores a new one-year deal with Laval Rocket.

The d-man puts up 5 goals and 13 assists in 55 games with a +28 rating, then appears in 15 playoff games, registering another helper and his efforts are recognized to re-up for another year.

He has 2 solid seasons, amassing a +41 rating on 30+ points with the Canadian minor league club and as a free agent signs for 2023/2024 with Chicago Wolves to switch up environments.

For the next season, he switches clubs in the league, but for 2024/2025, he decides to head off and plays in Czechia Extraliga, doing very well.

Milano Hockey Club of IceHL has him on their radar and sign him up for 2026/2027.

Terrance Amorosa (7)

Former Clarkson University Golden Knights‘ defenseman Terrance Amorosa(7) took some time before signing any deal for 2020/2021 and recently hooked up with Laval Rocket on a pto.

The sizable 6’2″ 202 lbs blue liner got in his first career AHL game and left a 3-0 blanking with no points but a +1 rating.

He had signed a pair of deals previously in the league, but was reassigned down to ECHL affiliates and last season had a decent 6 goals and 12 assists for Kansas City Mavericks.

Originally a Philadelphia Flyers‘ draft pick in the 5th round of 2013 (#132 overall), he never signed and was released to unrestricted free agency.

At 26-years old the big d-man could just be getting his footing but we shall see.

The Kirkland, QC native scored a rookie contract with Laval Rocket and wound up with 1 goal and 12 assists with a massive +22 rating in 35 games.

He has decided to head oversea for his 3rd season, signing a 1-year deal with Gherdeina of AlpsHL for 2022/2023.

After putting up 31 assists and 5 goals in 24 games with a +20 rating, he jumps to a higher league, joining HC Bolzano Foxes of IceHL, where he should continue his scoring success.

For 2023/2024, he will roughly stay put, but switch allegiances to rivals Rittner Baum.

He has been on a bit of a tear with assists in his “home” league, but decides after 2 years to switch things up and signs with Coventry Blaze of the EIHL for 2024/2025.

In 54 games, he scores 7 goals and 27 assists with a +3 rating, which he will take to Metal Ligaen, signing for a year with Herning Blue Fox for 2025/2026.

His change of country was a good bet, as he goes on to score 6 goals and 34 assists with a league best +49 in 46 games en route to a 2026 Championship that makes it an absolute no-brainer to invite him back as a Blue Fox for 2026/2027.

Mathieu Caron (30)

Brown University Bears‘ sophomore goaltender Mathieu Caron(30) will look to up his profile and his game with a transfer portal move to Boston University Terriers for his junior year 2023/2024.

The 6′ 190 lbs. back stop will definitely be eyeing the Hockey East starter’s job, having played 50 games, holding his own with a 2.61 GAA and .916 SV%.

From Abbotsford, BC, he appeared in 4 BCHL seasons for Chilliwack Chiefs, leaving them with a 67-38-11 record.

At 23-years old, he may be ready for what he’s accepted going forward for his college hockey career.

In 2 seasons in Boston, he has winning runs, maybe a little stronger with more games as a junior, but still very solid to help the team get to the 2025 Frozen Four final game.

To start his pro career, he signs an ato with Florida Everblades that could get him into some ECHL playoff action.

Seeing no action, he decides to make a move and heads off to Ligue Magnus, signing with Anglet Hormadi for his rookie season, 2025/2026.

He would play a very full frame of 39 games and seemed to do ok, but decides to move on an signs in Metal Ligaen with Rodovre Mighty Bulls for 2026/2027.

Guus van Nes (26)

Undrafted, Quinnipiac University Bobcats‘ Netherlands-born senior, left wing Guus van Nes(26) signs his 1st pro deal with Iowa Heartlanders.

The 6’3″ 205 lbs. forward scored a college career high 6 goals and 17 points with a +13 rating in 37 NCAA Division 1 games last season.

He started his junior hockey back home but came over pretty quickly, signing with Boston Jr. Bruins, where he ascended in his 3rd year to their NCDC team and exploded the stat sheet with 16 goals and 40 assists in 41 games.

The 25-year old could very well find some space to score goals in the ECHL.

Instead on continuing his hockey in the U.S., he has a bit late in the game, decided to head overseas to start his pro career, sighing for 2022/2023 with Pioneers Vorarlberg.

In 34 IceHL games he gets 11 goals and 13 assists, good enough for him to get re-upped for 2023/2024.

He once again scores phenomenally with 19 goals and 33 assists in 48 games with a +6 rating, but will take that to a contract with rivals Villacher SV for 2024/2025.

In his 2nd season with the same club, he does well, but for 2026/2027, he decides to head back to Pioneers, where he had great results.

Nick Seitz (52)

Princeton University Tigers‘ sophomore center Nick Seitz(52) worked out a deal to take 2020/2021 away from school after skating as a freshman to play another full season of juniors with close by New Jersey Titans, as the college team was put on pause due to the pandemic.

The rugged 6’1″ 190 lbs. forward scored a new junior hockey best 19 goals and 28 assists for 43 points with a +11 rating in 49 NAHL games.

He has already bettered his totals from his 1st campaign to a pair of goals and 2 assists in 13 NCAA Division 1 games.

The New York, NY native definitely knows how to win, as he was part of back-to-back youth hockey championships for North Jersey Avalanche 16U AAA.

At 21-years old, it seems like this undrafted player is just getting started with an eye towards what might go next.

He finishes off with a 23 point college best and signs for his rookie year with Coventry Blaze of the EIHL and we think he will do exceedingly well there.

With plenty good enough scoring 30 goals and 29 assists in 54 games last season, he is highly sought after and signs with rivals Sheffield Steelers for 2025/2026.

After just 2 games, he is dealt to Guilford Flames, who could definitely use his point scoring in their lineup.

He takes maybe a less significant 2nd frame to a new adventure, heading to the AIHL for the summer, signing with Sydney Bears.

Elliot McDermott (58)

Junior defenseman Elliot McDermott(58) cashes in a pair of seasons at Colgate University Raiders for a new adventure through the transfer portal, arriving at UMass Minutemen for 2022/2023.

The 5’11” 193 lbs. blue liner will has geared up nicely for the transition, scoring a college career tying 2 goals and new best 9 assists, 11 points with a +9 rating last year.

A Kingston, ON native, he played his high school and junior hockey relatively close to home.

The 23-year old will likely step nicely into Hockey East style.

While maybe not scoring a lot of points, he was still a + player after 2 seasons.

He would in fact, pull a graduate frame and scurried off to RPI Engineers, where ECAC style must have gelled with his, because he made off with a college best 3 goals, 15 assists in 35 games and a 0 rating.

Upon tournament elimination, he quickly signs with Adirondack Thunder and works himself into 5 ECHL games before the season is over.

He recorded an assist.

In a full season for Iowa Heartlanders, playing 59 games he scored 1 goal and 8 assists, but gets traded in the off season to Fort Wayne Komets.

Aidan Connolly (23)

Maine Nordiques 2020/2021 center Aidan Connolly(23) made a pretty good first and one season impression, scoring 16 goals, 11 assists with 5 game-winners in 53 NAHL games.

He was to head for Sacred Heart University Pioneers 2021/2022 after posting a USHS-Prep best 15 goals and 26 assists in just 22 games as Dexter Southfield School team captain.

The 5’10” 180 lbs. Marshfield, MA native is going to give it another year of juniors before trying to crack what could be a tough lineup.

He actually seemed to reconsidered things and after a 2nd successful junior frame decides to go to Salve Regina University Seahawks.

In his senior year, he scored point-per-game numbers.

Deciding to turn pro he signs Germany4 for his rookie run with EG Diez-Limburg Rockets for 2026/2027.
