Merrimack College Crusaders‘ freshman defenseman Frank Djurasevic(44)  will head to Hockey East foe University Of Maine Black Bears for his sophomore frame, 2024/2025.

The 6’2″ 198 lbs. blue liner, who came from 3 years with Penctiton Vees, the last as captain, scored 3 goals and 6 assists in 35 games last season.

He won a pair of BCHL Championships in 2022 and 2023.

We expect the 22-year old from New Rochelle, NY to continue to take up his college game.

After his junior year, he signs a 2-year AHL deal with Toronto Marlies through 2027/2028.

University Of Connecticut Huskies‘ junior transfer from somewhat underuse in 2 years University Of New Hampshire Wildcats‘ goaltender Tyler Muszelik(30) already has a 3-1 record with a 2.28 GAA and .901 SV% for the Florida Panthers 6th round pick in the 2022 draft (#189 overall).

The 6’3″ 193 lbs. net minder from Long Valley, NJ did 2 years USNTDP before heading to his 1st school.

He’s just 20-years old, so is well on his way towards development.

As a senior, he starts a new high 35 games with a 19-11-5 record, 2.21 GAA and .926 SV% that extends to the Hockey East Finals and an appearance in the NCAA D1 Tournament.

Upon completion, he signs a 2-year NHL entry level deal to join the draft club’s affiliate Charlotte Checkers to start.

Cornell University Big Red freshman center Jonathan Castagna(38) is an Arizona Coyotes‘ 3rd round pick in the 2023 draft (#70 overall).

The 6’2″ 194 lbs. forward at still only 18-years old is a solid, power forward style player.

Through 18 games this season, he has 5 goals and 7 assists with a +11 rating on the #13 team in the country.

From Etobicoke, ON, he did 2 years at St. Andrew’s College and he looks like he’s getting ready.

His rights were transferred to the new Utah Mammoth, who included it in their trade to Calgary Flames, whose property he becomes and they seem excited by the prospect.

He scored a college high 14 goals and 18 assists through 29 games, heading into tournament play.

No surprise, he signs a 3-year NHL entry level contract and will report to affiliate Calgary Wranglers.

Union College Dutchmen junior goaltender Kyle Chauvette(36) enters the transfer portal for a bit of a different college hockey look and joins University Of New Hampshire Wildcats for his senior year.

He has already started 3 games with a 1-2 record, 3.05 GAA, .908 SV%.

The 6′ 190 lbs. always had good seasons coming in.

From Goffstown, NH, the 23-year old only left to play 2 years of USHL before college.

Despite maybe not a winning record, he comes away with a pretty nice looking season and at the end of tournament play is asked to be emergency backup goalie for San Jose Sharks, who happen to be in Boston that night.

UMASS Dartmouth Corsairs‘ senior goaltender Marshall McKallip(1) finishes up a final frame and tournament play and turns pro, signing with Binghamton Black Bears, but was released after 2 starts and 1 FPHL win and  Watertown Wolves claimed him.

The 6′ 170 lbs. net minder played his way up in juniors from a short time in the EHLP to the EHL for 2 years with Connecticut Chiefs before school.

From Pittsburgh, PA, the 25-year old likely just need to settle to start putting up wins.

Mercyhurst University Lakers‘ junior center Carson Briere(16) leaves a year on the table to turn pro, signing a 1-year deal with HC 19 Humenne of Slovak Extraliga.

He twice had 14 assists and as a sophomore scored 13 goals for 27 points in 31 games.

The 5’9″ 165 lbs. forward blew up the score sheet in his 2nd NAHL session for Johnstown Tomahawks, scoring 44 goals and 45 assists in 59 games.

From Haddonfield, NJ, the 25-year old son of NHL great Daniel Briere, should do well in this tough to play overseas league.

He’s already switching teams overseas before he gets started, which isn’t quite surprising considering and now will skate for Neuilley-sur-Marne Les Bisons of France2 in 2023/2024.

As we thought, he has a very good frame, scoring 14 goals and 19 assists in 25 games and will next head to AlpsHL, signing with KHL Sisak for 2024/2025.

In 36 games, he scores 23 goals and 26 assists with a +8 rating and scores a little in 2 playoff games as well before he is loaned to the Croatian team of similar name and goes on to put up even more points.

For 2025/2026, he decides to move on for another opportunity, signing with EC Peiting, where he should do exceedingly well in Germany3.

He explodes for 33 goals and 34 assists in 52 games with a +16 rating to gain another year to stay with EC Peiting.
