Boston Bruins‘ 2nd round pick in the 2020 draft (#58 overall), defenseman Mason Lohrei(6) is having himself a nice 2nd season at Ohio State University Buckeyes.

He has yet to eclipse his marks set as a freshman, but still has 1 goals and 19 assists on 26 games with a +3 rating this year.

The big 6’4″ 210 lbs. blue liner from Madison, WI played 2 campaigns for Green Bay Gamblers and ran 19 goals and 40 assists in his 2nd USHL session.

At 22-years old, he may just stay and complete his college learnings before turning pro.

After posting a new college best 28 assists, he decides to sign an ato with Providence Bruins, taking the next step to gaining an entry level deal from the parent club soon.

Arizona State University Sun Devils‘ senior assistant captain defenseman Jacob Semik(40) turns pro and signs with Utah Grizzlies.

In 9 ECHL games, the 6′ 181 lbs. blue liner has 3 assists.

He wasn’t much of a scorer through college, but did come up 9 and 10 assists in a couple of frames.

The Canton, MI had to pretty good seasons of USHL for Dubuque Fighting Saints, pulling in 15 and 18 assists before leaving for college.

At 23-years old, he’s likely ready to see where it goes.

Boston College Eagles‘ graduate goaltender Mitch Benson(1) scored the 5-2  NCAA Division 1 Hockey East First Round win on only 16 shots by the visiting UMass Minutemen.

On the victory to advance, the former 4-year Colgate University Raiders gives us only the slightest glove fist bump to celebrate.

The 6’1″ 185 lbs. undrafted net minder from Windsor, ON will be an interesting watch what’s next once the season is finish.

After a fairly stellar season with his new college club, he signs a 1st pro deal to join Iowa Heartlanders for what’s left of 2023 and in his 3rd game, picks up a 1st ECHL win.

10th year center Sahir Gill(29) signs a new deal for 2022/2023 with HK Nitra of Slovak Extraliga.

The 5’11” 170 lbs. forward put up point-per-game numbers last season in DEL2 for EV Landshut.

He has been overseas since a 1st pair of seasons with Augsburger Panther of DEL, where he produced decent numbers before heading to IceHL to skate a session for Villacher SV.

The 3-year Boston University Terriers‘ 3-time 10+ assist player (reaching 19 twice) never signed an NHL deal, but had his best AHL success in his final year with Rochester Americans, scoring 18 goals and 21 assists before leaving.

At 30-years old, the Terrace, BC native should do very well once again, where he’s headed to play.

After a 25 game season, scoring a tidy 7 goals and 13 assists with a +5 rating, then adding another 5 points in 8 playoff matchups en route to the 2023 Continental Cup, he re-signs to stay.

Harvard University Crimson graduate center Baker Shore(23) signs his 1st pro deal with South Carolina Stingrays and in his debut tallies a goal and an assist.

The 6′ 195 lbs. forward has hockey written all over him, as he has 3 older brothers who all turned pro.

He played 2 USHL seasons for Chicago Steel and won the Clark Cup in his 1st, 2017.

The 23-year old from Cherry Hills Village, CO will likely light up the ECHL nicely and hopefully get his opportunities at a higher level, as he is a player who easily deserves the shot.

UMass-Lowell Riverhawks‘ senior assistant captain, Slovakian-born defenseman Marek Korencik(17) signs a 1st pro contract with 1st year team, Iowa Heartlanders upon finishing up his studies.

The big 6’3″ 201 lbs. blue liner is a presence out there.

He managed modest career highs with 3 goals and 5 assists in 36 games last season and leaves the program a +12 player.

The 23-year old, who played a single SHL game for Lulea HF, will likely find room to contribute in the ECHL.

Norwich University Cadets‘ senior goaltender Drennen Atherton(1) signs with Orlando Solar Bears as they fight for a playoff spot in the ECHL.

The 6’1″ 212 lbs. net minder was stingy last season giving up just 1.49 GAA with a .944 SV% on a 16-6 record in 22 D3 college hockey games, earning NEHC Goaltender Of The Year.

He came over from 2 seasons at Sacred Heart University Pioneers, but played only once.

The almost oddly Winter Haven, FL native had a pretty good run through junior hockey, mostly tending for Northern Cyclones.

It would be surprising to see the 25-year old not do well where he’s going.

Rivier University Raiders‘ graduating senior right wing Josh Sanchez(67) decides to turn pro and signs a contract to join Elmira Mammoth for the remainder of their 2023 run, which their on the cusp on an FPHL playoff berth.

The 5’9″ 175 lbs. forward scored his 1st goal in his 1st game in a 7-4 loss, so is off to a good start.

He did 2 years at Becker College before leaving as the school folded.

The 23-year old, Potsdam, NY native bounced around juniors mostly, but finished on a super strong showing for Lewiston/Auburn Nordiques, scoring 23 goals and 37 assists in 35 NA3HL games.

Bemidji State University Beavers‘ graduate right wing Kaden Pickering(18) signs a 1st pro contract with Iowa Heartlanders.

The 5’9″ 181 lbs. forward did 4 years at St. Lawrence University Saints scoring a college best 6 goals and 13 assistsas a senior captain.

He has yet to hit the stat sheet in 2 ECHL games.

The 24-year old from Madrid, NY only did only BCHL season prior to heading to college.

 

Mercyhurst University Lakers‘ senior right wing Gueorgui Feduolov(14) signs a 1st pro deal with Norfolk Admirals and grabs a 1st assist in his 2nd ECHL game.

The small 5’9″ but solid at 195 lbs. forward wasn’t exactly the most prolific scorer through college.

He played 3 seasons for Shreveport Mudbugs and won the 2018 NAHL Robertson Cup in his 2nd campaign.

The 24-year old from Mentor, OH could be ready to step into his pro game.
