He was initially drafted by Carolina Hurricanes in the 2nd round of 2009 (#51 overall).

The 6’4″ 207 lbs. rock of a blue liner has a combined +98 rating, 2 Stanley Cups and 2 NCAA Division 1 titles.

He played a career high 82 game slate last season, scoring a new best 24 assists and 25 points.

The 31-year old, originally from Biddeford, ME is only smiling, playing hockey.

He scores a career high 6 goals in his 1st season away from home, but isn’t retained and traded to Anaheim Ducks for 2024/2025.

The continued upward movement is on in New Jersey Devils, who trade to pick him up the soon to be unrestricted agent and insure their upward movement.

He continues to be a strong performer and is picked up by Los Angeles Kings on a 3-year deal worth $4M AAV.

USNTDP 2nd year center Conrad Fondrk(16) didn’t seem to skate quite as full a clip as he did his 1st season, but was still quite adept at scoring.

The 6′ 203 lbs. forward is a 2025/2026 commit to Boston University Terriers.

He also happened to be about a month ago New Jersey Devils‘ 2nd round pick in the 2025 draft (#50 overall).

From St. Paul, MN, the still young 18-year old has a lot to look forward to.

For 6 years, the 6′ 194 lbs. blue liner has recorded 10+ assists.

He had 3 assists with a +5 rating in 7 playoff games before bowing out.

Originally a Boston Bruins‘ 2nd round pick in the 2016 draft (#49 overall), he was traded before ever suiting up for them officially.

He did 2 years of USNTDP before heading to University Of Minnesota Golden Gophers, where he left after his sophomore frame.

An unrestricted free agent, he signs quickly for 4 years at $4.5M AAV with Seattle Kracken.

Providence College Friars‘ senior center Chase Yoder(17) scored what turned out to be the game-winner for the 2023 Mayor’s Cup, Battle of Providence vs. Brown University Bears, 3-0.

The 5’10” 176 lbs. forward is easily threatening college bests with 6 goals and 6 assists in 17 games.

A Pittsburg Penguins‘ 6th round pick in the 2020 draft (#170 overall), the Fairview, TX native did 2 years in the USNTDP system before school.

We think this is the season to see an uptick in the 21 year old’s game, getting him ready to sign an NHL entry level deal.

He goes unsigned by his draft club, but somehow picks up the radar of Winnipeg Jets, who get him signed to an AHL contract with affiliate Manitoba Moose for 2025/2026.

UMASS Minutemen junior defenseman Scott Morrow(23) is looking to put up more career high college stats this season with 5 goals and 15 assists in just 16 games with a +7, looking to best 13 and 22, but looking good.

The 6’2″ 192 lbs. blue liner played exactly 2 USHL games of junior hockey with Youngstown Phantoms, grabbing an assist after finishing up at Shattuck St. Mary’s USHS-Prep.

From Darien, CT, the 21-year old is a Carolina Hurricanes‘ 2nd round pick in the 2021 draft (#40 overall).

He looks like an easy 2-year entry level contract, but that just means they will have to work with him through restricted free agent contracts.

After recording a college best 24 assists and a 3rd 30+ point season, he leaves a year on the table to sign a 3-year NHL entry level deal.

He is traded to New York Rangers, who hopefully becomes part of their new d corp.

Edmonton Oilers‘ 6th round pick in the 2019 draft (#188 overall), Quinnipiac University Bobcats‘ senior center Skyler Brind’Amour(76) has a new college career best 12 goals and 24 points, but still needs 5 more helpers to equal the 17 assists he got as a junior.

The 6’2″ 174 lbs. forward played 2 seasons with Chilliwack Chiefs after dipping his toe in with the USNTDP program, running up 44 points (13 goals, 31 assists) in 52 BCHL games in his 2nd frame with the team.

A 23-year old, born in Raleigh, NC, when his dad Rod Brind’Amour(17) was playing for Carolina Hurricanes should produce well once he turns pro, as he’s pretty big and uses that to gain space out there.

He has a season they like in the AHL, a good preseason invite to training camp and looks as though he joins his dad under a 2-way NHL contract from the club he coaches for 2024/2025.

Scoring an easy best 16 goals and 7 assists gets him a 1st look to see what he can do.

In his debut he plays 20 shifts for 15:28 ice time with 1 block, 1 hit and 2 giveaway with a -2 rating in a 4-2 loss, but still gets praise for his play out there.

For his 2nd game, he scores himself a 1st NHL goal, as he was close to the net to stuff one in.

Coming in was one of the best things for his game, as he goes on to score 16 goals and 8 assists through 68 games, which leads to a 1-years extension to stay a Canes for 2025/2026.

6th year net minder Eamon McAdam(37) finds a good deal to split for Metal Ligaen, joining Esbjerg Energy in 2021/2022.

Originally a New York Islanders‘ 3rd round pick in the 2013 draft (#70 overall), he signed a three-year entry level deal after completing his 3rd year at Penn State University Nittany Lions and mostly languished through equal time between affiliates Bridgeport Sound Tigers and their ECHL partner putting together ok numbers.

He was traded to Toronto Maple Leafs in the final campaign of his contract and once again did equal time in the pair of minor leagues.

The sturdy 6’3″ 198 lbs. goalie was left unqualified and signed an AHL deal with Binghamton Devils, but was sent for the duration of the session to Adirondack Thunder, starting a career high 40 games.

He almost seemed to come to life more last season with Jacksonville Icemen, going 4-2-2 with a best 2.53 GAA and .915 SV%.

The 27-year old should find more new life in Denmark’s top hockey.

He takes some conservatively good numbers to his next opportunity, signing for 2022/2023 with Guilford Flames of the EIHL.

After 3 seasons with one team in the league, he branches out to join rivals Sheffield Steelers for 2025/2026.

3rd year center J.D. Dudek(18) returned to these shores after spending 2020/2021 overseas with Bodens HF doing quite well with 7 goals and 4 assists in 16 HockeyEttan games with a +7 rating and re-signed to Worcester Railers, who he spent 27 ECHL games with as a rookie (2-10-12).

Originally a New Jersey Devils‘ 6th round pick in the 2014 draft (#152 overall), he signed an ato with affiliate Binghamton Devils upon graduating 4 years at Boston College Eagles, but that’s about how far it went.

The Auburn, NH native was quickly dished to Allen Americans after 1 game back in central MA.

Soon to be turning 26, he has to have his eye on what might be more possible for his playing career overseas.

He would get 6 goals and 10 assists with a +4 rating in 62 games last season and decides maybe return as thought, signing for 2022/2023 with Tranas AIF, where once again he should put up strong numbers in Sweden’s tier 3 league.

After 14 games, scoring 4 goals and 4 assists with a +2 rating, he decides to head elsewhere, joining Coventry Blaze for the remainder of 2022/2023.

He walks away from last season with 9 goals and 8 assists in 29 games with a +5, which is favorable enough to score 2023/2024 to once again play in the EIHL.

After almost 2 seasons with the English team, he decides to head back home and signs with the Railers once again for a hopeful improved outcome.

He does decently in his time back close to home, but maybe misses the overseas action more and is a better payday for him to join Manchester Storm for 2025/2026.

San Jose Sharks‘ acquired defenseman Henry Thrun(3) from draft team Anaheim Ducks, where he was selected in the 4th round of 2019 (#101 overall) and after 3 years at Harvard University Crimson, putting up just about equal stats as a sophomore and junior with 7 goals and 25/24 assists, he has decided to sign a 2-year NHL entry level deal to turn pro.

The big 6’2″ 195 lbs. blue liner skated his 1st big league game with his new pro team, getting a tough 4-3 OT win and him picking up a pair of assists in the conquest, earning a 2nd star of the game.

He has always been a good assist guy, twice with 10+, almost 20 when with the USNTDP, when he got drafted.

The 22-year old from Southborough, MA plays to form and will likely do very well for himself.

In his 16th appearance, for the new year 2024, he steps up to score a first big league goal.

He is handily playing himself into a full-time role with the big club and it’s now extended for another 2-year to continue that growth in a Sharks‘ sweater for the big man on d.

In maybe an oddball move, he gets shipped to Toronto Maple Leafs with a year remaining on his low-pay contract and he should shine pretty bright on a team that could really use him to improve.

Undrafted, Russian-born center Artem Shlaine(38) takes a pair of good seasons at University Of Connecticut Huskies to a new adventure through the transfer portal for his junior season with Northern Michigan University Wildcats.

The 6’1″ 174 lbs. forward scored a college career high 7 goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 36 NCAA Division 1 games, sending his team all the way to the Hockey East Finals before being eliminated in overtime.

Despite being from fairly far away, the New Jersey Devils’ 5th round pick in the 2020 draft (#130 overall) has already spent a good amount of time here through youth hockey and a couple of extraordinary years at Shattuck St. Marys USHS-Prep.

The 20-year old will likely do well in his new hockey home.

After putting up 10+ goals and assists (21 as a junior) in each of his 2 seasons in the midwest, he leaves for a graduate program start at Arizona State University Sun Devils.

He finishes with a new college high 17 goals, ties his 21 assist high and 38 points, but doesn’t sign with draft team, then does ink with Texas Stars.

In 6 AHL games, he records an assist and is a +1 rating.

For his rookie season, he signs a 1-year contract to return.
