Tampa Bay Lightning 1st round pick in the 2022 draft (#31 overall), left wing Isaac Howard(3) has been a scoring machine in his 2 years in the USNTDP program.

In 55 USHL games, he has 27 goals and 43 assists and popped it even further in the USDP leg of it with 65 goals and 90 assists in 111 games.

He selected University Of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs as his college commit and through 4 games, has his 1st NCAA Division 1 goal.

Just 18 years old, the Hudson, WI native will be a bit of a wonder if he connect with the scoresheet in NCHC play as he always has.

He gets 6 goals and 11 assists through 35 games, but is antsy and will take up his sophomore season 2023/2024 at Michigan State University Spartans and play some Big Ten hockey going forward.

Boston Bruins‘ 2nd round pick in the 2020 draft (#58 overall), defenseman Mason Lohrei(6) is having himself a nice 2nd season at Ohio State University Buckeyes.

He has yet to eclipse his marks set as a freshman, but still has 1 goals and 19 assists on 26 games with a +3 rating this year.

The big 6’4″ 210 lbs. blue liner from Madison, WI played 2 campaigns for Green Bay Gamblers and ran 19 goals and 40 assists in his 2nd USHL session.

At 22-years old, he may just stay and complete his college learnings before turning pro.

After posting a new college best 28 assists, he decides to sign an ato with Providence Bruins, taking the next step to gaining an entry level deal from the parent club soon.

Nashville Predators‘ 5th round pick in the 2018 draft (#131 overall) defenseman Spencer Stastney(24) signs his 2-year NHL entry level deal as his team of the last 4 years University Of Notre Dame Fighting Irish are eliminated from NCAA Division 1 playoffs.

The 5’10” 179 lbs. blue liner had a college career senior season, serving as assistant captain, scoring new bests 7 goals, 2o assists for 27 points with a +18 rating.

He had 2 solid seasons skating for USNTDP exploding for 40 assists between the two teams in his 2nd year.

The 22-year old may not need a lot of seasoning in the minors to be big league ready.

His is holding his own as a rookie on the blue line for affiliate Milwaukee Admirals, getting 5 goals and 8 assists in 56 AHL games on a team Calder Cup Playoff bound.

He is rewarded with a 1st call up, skating 13:16 minutes with 3 shots on net in a big win for his debut and has gone on to record 2 assists in 4 games with a +3 rating.

Detroit Red Wings‘ 3rd round pick in the 2021 draft (#70 overall), University Of Denver Pioneers‘ sophomore left wing Carter Mazur(54) is off to the start in his 2nd frame you would expect from him, scoring 4 goals and an assist in 4 games to get things started.

2021 NCAA Division 1 Champions and selected NCHC Rookie Of The Year, the 6′ 172 lbs. forward  had 14 goals and 24 assists with a +23 rating as a rookie.

He’s always seemed to find the back of the net, except maybe his 1st USHL season with Tri-City Storm.

If the 20-year old has another breakout frame, it will be tough to see him stay in school.

After hitting up the net 20 times for goals as a sophomore, he decides to leave school and sign his 3-year NHL entry level deal, but will get his pro feet wet on an ato to join affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins to start.

Calgary Flames‘ 1st round pick in the 2021 draft (#13 overall), Harvard University Crimson freshman Matthew Coronato(19) is off to a big start with 3 goals and 3 assists with a +6 rating in 2 games.

Selected after a huge 2020/2021, his 2nd year with Chicago Steel, where the 18-year old scored a league high 48 goals and 37 assists in 51 USHL games with a best +37 rating, then added another 13 points (9-4) in 8 playoff contests to capture the 2021 Clark Cup Championship.

The 5’11” 181 lbs. forward has always been a goal scorer and on a potent college team, he’ll show no signs of slowing pace, so it’s mostly a matter of how long he stays before signing his entry level deal.

After 2 seasons with exactly 36 points in 34 games, it’s zero surprise to see him sign his 3-year NHL entry level contract to get things started on a Calgary team that needs to keep winning to wild card.

Chicago Blackhawks sign center Ryder Rolston(29) to a 3-year NHL entry level deal after completing 3 seasons with Notre Dame University Fighting Irish.

The 6’2″ 190 lbs. forward, originally a Colorado Avalanche 5th round pick in the 2020 draft (#139 overall), left school with 7 goals and 13 assists, slightly under the 10 and 17 marks he posted as a sophomore, but still ok.

He was twice a 20+ goal scorer in the USNTDP program and grabbed some nice totals for Waterloo Blackhawks before heading to college.

It is understood the 21-year old from Boston, MA will report to affiliate Rockford Icehogs.

Harvard University Crimson junior center Alex Laferriere(18) scores his 2nd in his team’s opening night ECAC Quarterfinals round 6-1 win.

The 6′ 172 lbs. forward has a college best 18 goals, 20 assists for 38 points this season.

A Los Angeles Kings‘ 3rd round pick in the 2020 draft (#83 overall), he was a point-per-game USHL player in his 2nd campaign with Des Moines Buccaneers.

I guess we shall see whether or not he has a college future through a final year, but he could be ready at 21-years old.

7th year center John McCarron(25) re-signs for his 6th year in uniform with Florida Everblades, and 4th as team captain.

Originally an Edmonton Oilers‘ 6th round pick in the 2012 draft (#153 overall), he never signed, instead after 4 years at Cornell University Big Red, including a best season as junior captain, agreed to terms with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

He was mostly reassigned from there to affiliate Wheeling Nailers, where as a rookie he found some of that scoring touch he had as a 2nd year USHL point per game player for Lincoln Stars.

The very large 6’3″ 218 lbs. forward has three times captured 60 points in ECHL games, including new highs set in 2020/2021, 31 goals, 37 assists for 68 points with a +29 rating in 66 games.

There’s little doubt the 29-year old will stay on his point-scoring tear and likely earn some more time in the AHL.

After putting up a career best 41 assists and 70 points in 69 games, he sits the 1st half of 2022/2023 out, but has eventually decided to return to Florida for a 7th session.

Tampa Bay Lightning 4th round pick in the 2019 draft (#120 overall), Providence College Friars‘ senior defenseman, captain Max Crozier(24) has a college career high 17 assists, but may not equal his 7 goals set as a junior with only 2 in the net this season.

The 6’2″ 185 lbs. blue liner has 3 times recorded 10+ assists.

From North Vancouver, BC, the 22-year old 1st play 1 season of junior hockey north with Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL.

He would move on to a USHL session for Sioux Falls Stampede, where he had an outstanding 10 goals and 33 assists through 60 games with a +5 rating.

It looks as though he should be signed quickly upon completely his school hockey and I would put him right into the system.

Minnesota Wild rookie left wing Matt Boldy(12) grabs a 1st recall after lighting it up for affiliate Iowa Wild with 4 goals and 6 assists in 10 AHL games.

He did much the same after arriving after a 2nd session at Boston College to sign his entry level deal, scoring 6 goals and 12 assists in 14 games with a +5.

Preseason injuries likely kept him from getting an early summons up.

In his Boston (hometown Millis, MA) debut, he skates 20 shifts for 13:13 total ice with 4 shots on net and a 1st NHL goal, the game-winner.

The 20-year old may have arrived, already.

With his 3-year entry level deal coming due at the end of the current frame, it was smart to try to visit this one quickly to make sure he knew they wanted to keep in the fold, long time to help the club towards a trophy.

Now, all of 21-years old, he signs a 7-year extension worth $7M AAV or $49M over the term.

He’s a Wild going forward.
