He did maybe a bit more an offense productive season previous in the AJHL, but also played significantly more games and was definitely more active in his 1st year with P.A.L. Jr. Islanders of the USPHL/NCDC, which is a little confusing as to why he didn’t stay or continue with another team in the league.
The 6’1″ 194 lbs. blue liner should be able to help secure his team’s zone.

St. Lawrence University Saints‘ graduate net minder Ben Kraws(33) transferred into his 3rd school, following 2 years at Arizona State University Sun Devils after 2 with Miami University Ohio Redhawks.
The very sizable 6’5″ 201 lbs. goalie had 2 decent USHL frames in juniors for Sioux City Musketeers and started 49 games and was shutout in the playoffs for his 2nd year.
From Cranbury, NJ, the 25-year old will be an interesting watch to see what might transpire next.
His finishes up a spectacular run to the ECAC Finals, where they are beat, but cap off a fantastic season to elevate him for his 1-year NHL entry level contract with Dallas Stars.

Long Island University Lakers‘ senior right wing Jordan Timmons(7) scored a college career high 8 assists and 16 points with a +3 rating through a new best 29 games.
He takes those numbers to a 1st pro ECHL contract with Idaho Steelheads to finish out 2021/2022.
In his debut, only 4 days after his last college game, he grabbed a pair of assists in a 7-4 win.
The very solid 6’2″ 225 lbs. forward had an interesting trek through college, starting with a pair of years at University Of Connecticut Huskies before entering the transfer portal to play a season at Robert Morris University Colonials before they decided to suspend their program and he wound in LI.
As a youngster, the Bridgeville, PA native played in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Elite system growing up, then had a breakout scoring 2nd campaign tallying 24 for Cedar Rapids RoughRiders before college.
The 23-year old should do well for himself.
He would finish his ato scoring a goal and those 2 assists in 6 games and they like what they see, so sign him to a 1-year deal for 2022/2023, where his game may just open up big.
Seems like he’s still struggling to find his space, but Greenville Swamp Rabbits see something they may be able to use and we’re thinking they work to park him in front of opposing nets for chances and goals.
He finds himself only part of 16 games and is finally released to be claimed by Fayetteville Marksmen, where he should really find his footing in the SPHL.

University Of Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks‘ graduate left wing Jonny Sorenson(4) has 4 goals and 2 assists in 10 games so far this season, but still has a ways to go to equal his 10 goals and 18 assists he set as a senior.
The 6’1″ 185 lbs. plays a power forward style and transferred after 3 years at University Of Minnesota Golden Gophers.
He also did his only session of NAHL junior hockey with Fairbanks Ice Dogs, so is familiar where he was going.
From St. Louis Park, MN, the 24-year looks pretty comfortable with his college club.
He completes his 5th year at school as team captain and signs with Iowa Heartlanders, where he pocketed a 1st ECHL point, an assist in his debut.

7th year right wing Zach Hyman(18) leaves his home for the last 6 years with Toronto Maple Leafs to sign a new 5-year deal as an unrestricted free agent with Edmonton Oilers, worth an estimated $5.5 AAV.
The 6’1″ 205 lbs. power forward has twice scored 21 goals (2018-2020) and two times 15 in 345 NHL games with a mammoth +72 rating.
Originally a Florida Panthers‘ 5th round pick in the 2010 draft (#123 overall), he was traded before ever officially wearing a jersey.
The former 4-year University Of Michigan Wolverines‘ forward was a Hobey Baker Award finalist as a senior, when he scored a cool 22 goals and 32 assists in 37 Big Ten games with a +24 rating.
He’s already 29-years old, although it seems like it was yesterday, when he donned a Toronto Marlies‘ jersey.
His goal scoring ascends to a career high 51 this season and in the process he pots his 200th overall tally.
Next season will be his 10th in the league and now 31-years old shows zero signs of stopping.
The Oilers‘ jersey fits well.

Express Hockey Club 2nd year center Keith Smilowitz(25) takes an EHL best 7 goals and 18 assists to a 2024/2025 commit at Post University Eagles.
The 6′ 194 lbs. forward has definitely been able to score as he has come up.
From Sarver, PA, the 20-year old will definitely help this Northeast-10 club score more.

Rhode Island HC 2nd year EHL defenseman Ian Wolanin(25) will take his game to St. Michael’s College Purple Knights for a 2024/2025 commit.
The big 6’2″ 196 lbs. blue liner was not a big scorer in juniors, but could strike for more in NE-10 action.
From Pomfret, CT, the 20-year old is l00ks ready for the next step.

Merrimack College Warriors‘ freshman 6’8″ larger than a house goaltender, Swedish-born Hugo Ollas(1) is off to a good 5-3 start with a 2.47 GAA and .908 SV%.
He played all his youth and junior hockey close to home with Linkoping HC U16-J20.
The 19-year old even played a 2 SHL games going 0-1, but with a 1.99 GAA and .903 SV%.
It is going to be interesting to pay attention to see if the New York Rangers‘ 7th round pick in the 2020 draft (#197 overall) plays out 4 years or signs an entry level earlier.
Leaving his senior year on the table, he agrees to a 2-year NHL entry level deal with the Rangers and will report to affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack to play out the rest of the frame.
This was a bit of an easy-see.

East Coast Wizards‘ 1st EHL year right wing Aidan O’Connell(21) takes some impressive scoring numbers, 21 goals and 22 assists in 31 games to a Stevenson University Mustangs 2024/2025 commit.
The 6’1″ 194 lbs. forward actually transferred in from starting 9 USPHL/NCDC games with Jr. Bruins, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists.
From Wilmington, MA, the 20-year old is leaving home to play hockey for a 1st time and easily should excel at this school.

Hobart College Statesmen junior right wing Luke Aquaro(12) got the only goal his team needed to secure a 2-0 NCAA D3 Finals‘ game win, securing their 2nd straight trophy as the country’s best.
The 6’ 174 lbs. Yardley, PA native had college best scoring as a sophomore with 21 goals and 18 assists, but left 2023/2024 with a +32 rating and more than point-per-game numbers for a 3rd time.
He has always been a scorer and the 23-year old will continue that through his senior campaign no doubt
