The 5’10” 183 lbs. forward should do well in Germany’s highest league, DEL.
He was a big 32 assist guy in his 2nd season, reassigned to Newfoundland Growlers.
The Brandon, MD native also did big assists 27 and twice had 15+ at Western Michigan University Broncos.
At 26-years old he played no junior hockey, heading from his senior year to college hockey.

10th year defenseman Aaron Ness(27) was in Boston Bruins‘ training camp, but signs for 2021/2022 with affiliate Providence Bruins to stay in the system.
It’s his 1st minor league deal.
The 5’10” 184 lbs. blue liner has played an outstanding 557 AHL games, scoring 45 goals and 222 assists with an overall +7 rating.
He’s appeared in 72 NHL games in 7 seasons with 3 different teams, scoring just a goal and 6 assists.
We do believe the 31-year old, former 3-year University Of Minnesota Golden Gophers will look to continue his hockey overseas next, just to be able to say he did it as a pro.
Looks like we guessed wrong, as he signs for 2022/2023 with the team he had a 50 assist campaign for a few years ago, Hershey Bears and the recently turned 32-year old should be able to help them find their playoff punch again.
He’s riding a good playoff run with the team after getting 5 goals and 14 assists in 69 games with a +14 rating during the regular season, but has yet to add anything in the playoffs.
No worries says this minor league club as they would like him to stay in Chocolatetown for at least another 2 more years.
For a 7th season, he will stay a Bears, 2024/2025.

Boston College Eagles‘ defenseman Drew Fortescue(5) had the 1st home goal for the team to start the 2023/2024 season in a 4-2 win.
Almost a little ironic considering he had no goals in 22 USHL games last season and only 1 in 62 games for the NTDP club.
A New York Rangers‘ 3rd round pick in the 2023 draft (#90 overall), he stands 6’2″ 176 lbs.
We think the 18-year old’s game will continue to grow and he’ll become a team leader.

Salve Regina University Seahawks seem to be scooping up a lot of cast offs and there’s little doubt it will be to their benefit, as the latest is Bradey Farrell(3) after just 1 frame at Albertus Magnus College Falcons, scoring 1 goal and 3 assists in 24 games with maybe a little bit of an oddball +12 rating.
The 6’3″ 216 lbs. big blue liner will easily be a welcome addition to the CCC D3 division.
His two frames at USPHL/NCDC for Junior Bruins were almost identical.
From Burriville, RI, the 22-year old will take his college hockey closer to home.

Undrafted left wing Max Kaufman(92) takes a graduate year of eligibility, his 2nd at Boston University Terriers into a 1st pro contract with Laval Rocket, but is reassigned to start his career with affiliate Trois Rivieres Lions.
The small 5’8″ 165 lbs. forward has already skated 14 ECHL games, getting a 1st goal and 2 assists with a +3 rating.
He committed to University Of Vermont Catamounts after a successful USHS-Prep junior year at Kent School and spent three seasons there.
The Pittsford, NY native would take an interesting move and head north for a pair of campaigns for Langley Rivermen, where 51 goals and 56 assists in 105 BCHL games before heading to school.
At 25-years old, he may already be ready to join a squad and make a difference.
After a decent enough early showing season, he signs for his rookie run 2022/2023 with 1st year team, Savannah Ghost Pirates.
He produces 9 goals and 11 assists in 57 games last season, which isn’t bad for a 1st year player until he finds himself involved in a trade that sends him to Tulsa Oilers for 2023/2024, but will need a contract.
In a little bit of a switch, he maybe can’t come to terms with his new club and agrees to a 1-year deal with Meudon Cometes of France2.

11th year right wing Paul Thompson(15) signed a 1-year contract to join Bridgeport Islanders for 2021/2022, but has only skated 4 games with them (1 goal), while mostly being reassigned to affiliate Worcester Railers.
In 10 ECHL games, his first since 1 in 2011, he has 2 goals and 3 assists.
The 6’1″ 201 lbs. forward has 610 AHL games to his credit, scoring a healthy 174 goals and 165 assists.
He also has appeared in 24 NHL games with two different clubs, grabbing 3 assists.
The 33-year old, former 4-year University Of New Hampshire Wildcats top scorer as a junior and senior from close by Derry, NH is probably just happy to be pulling down deals from elite teams.
For 2022/2023, he returns to southern CT for a 2nd season.
12 years, 697 games in the minors and 24 in the show with 3 assists is quite enough, so we await to see what team he may have skated for previously to pick him up as an assistant coach.

After only 13 games as a freshman at Nichols College Bison, center Ike Frankel(10) enters the transfer portal to a team that can definitely use him, despite only getting 1 goal in the last frame, Franklin Pierce University Ravens.
The 6’1″ 175 lbs. forward from San Diego, CA was a big scorer in 3 seasons of USPHL Premier with Minnesota Moose, grabbing 40+ points twice and 50 once.
He played all his youth hockey close to home and we think he’s going to find the net in NEHC play.

Spencer Craig(3) takes 2 solid years at Northern Cyclones to a 2023/2024 commit at Mass College Of Liberal Arts Trailblazers.
The 5’11” 161 lbs. forward won the 2023 USPHL Premier Championship.
He played 3 years of juniors before committing.
The 21-year old Baltimore, MD native will likely earn points at college hockey.

Sophomore left wing Austin Pick(28) switches out of 1 season at Stonehill College Skyhawks, seeing only 15 games of ice, scoring 1 goal and 2 assist to a team that will definitely need him, Franklin Pierce University Ravens for 2023/2024.
He had 2 decently successful EHL junior sessions with Seahawks Hockey before heading to score.
The 5’10” 181 lbs. forward will likely do better playing a full D3 schedule.
From Troutdale, OR, he must be liking it around here to continue school in the area.

Boston Jr. Bruins‘ 1-year defenseman Jack Meloff(6) commits to Stevenson University Mustangs for 2023/2024.
The 6’2″ 194 lbs. St. Catherines, ON native also did a season of juniors in the CCHL.
At 20-years old, he’s likely ready to step into MAC conference play.
