Mercyhurst University Lakers‘ senior left wing Paul Maust(13) put in a modest college best 5 goals last season.

The 5’10” 170 lbs. forward enters the transfer portal and comes out to skate with an Atlantic Hockey opponent that is back into the picture for 2023/2024, Robert Morris University Colonials.

He played 4 campaigns of junior hockey, committing in the middle of his 1st USHL frame.

We do believe the 24-year old from Butler, PA will find a bit more room to hit the scoresheet with his new college club.

Sacred Heart University Pioneers‘ senior defenseman Logan Britt(6) enters the transfer portal and arrives at University Of North Dakota Fighting Hawks to hopefully gain a little more notice.

The 6’2″ 190 lbs. blue liner had a college career best 3 goals and 18 assists as a junior in 37 games.

He originally committed to his 1st school, Quinnipiac University Bobcats after a solid 2nd NAHL season with Aberdeen Wings, recording 22 assists.

The 24-year old Crystal Lake, IL native will likely find success in the NCHC.

Niagara University Purple Eagles‘ sophomore net minder Jake Sibell(30) heads closer to home to St. Thomas University Tommies for 2023/2024.

The 6’2″ 205 lbs. goalie got into only 3 games last season.

He played a 4-year junior career, ultimately ending up with Aberdeen Wings for a pair of frames, in which he captured NAHL awards in his 2nd year for Most Valuable Player, Best Goaltender, Best GAA and Best SV%.

We do believe the 23-year old from Asanti, MN will get his opportunities at his new school.

12th year center Joey Martin(88) gets back to his team of 6 seasons, Cardiff Devils after a couple COVID years away to play one successful Stavenger OilersNorway and one Austria’s IceHL Graz 99ers before returning for 2022/2023.

The 5’10” 185 lbs. forward played two seasons for Toledo Walleye, fresh out of 4 years at University Of Nebraska Huskers, where he served as senior captain and was always a solid performer.

He signed for his third season with Stockton Heat and took a ride to the Kelly Cup Finals before bowing out and was a point-per-game performer.

The Thorold, ON native has been loaned up to the AHL in each of his campaigns, probably doing best in his last, skating 9 games with Bridgeport Sound Tigers, tallying 2 goals an 2 assists.

He has always scored big in the league, 20+ goals and just under 40 assists a year and is a 4-time EIHL Champion with the team.

The 33-year is likely just glad to get back to where he knows playing pro hockey at a high level.

As assistant captain, he records yet again another amazing frame, scoring 22 goals and 34 assists, which is still good for only 5th overall points he has scored with the team.

Quite obviously he is offered an 8th year to return to the Devils core for 2023/2024.

Providence College Friars‘ 2023/2024 commit right wing Ryan Schelling(4) tore up all his youth and high school hockey scoring, then last season in his 1 NAHL junior campaign for Northeast Generals got 11 goals and 24 assists with a +24 rating in 59 games.

The 6′ 174 lbs. forward from Airmont, NY played mostly close to home growing up.

As a 19-year old, heading into Hockey East, he will definitely find himself challenged.

Metro Jets‘ 3rd year high scoring center Alex Schaumburger(14) will next take his game to Adrian College Bulldogs for a 2023/2024 commit.

The 5’10” 181 lbs. forward will be a nice freshman add to the program that took it all the way to the D3 Finals last season.

A Canton, MI native, he was a good scorer from sophomore year forward at Salem High School.

The 20-year old is likely just ready to get started with the next chapter in his life.

12th year right wing Dustin Gazley(10) signs on for a 3rd season with HC Bolzano Foxes, as he continues to put up numbers (31 points in 38 IceHL games) at 33-years of age.

Not too bad for the 5’8″ 161 lbs. forward that came out of Michigan State University Spartans‘ scorer, who spent most of his 1st two seasons tearing up the scoresheet in the ECHL before signing with Hershey Bears.

He stayed with the team for 5 years before heading off to Europe.

The Novi, MI native has to be happy playing pro hockey for the Italian team in the mostly Austrian league.

After scoring a tidy 17 goals and 31 assists in 47 games with a +19 rating, then potting another 13 points in 18 appearances during the playoffs earns him a 4th season to return.

48 points is his highest point total so far in the league.
