The 6′ 174 lbs. forward from Airmont, NY played mostly close to home growing up.
As a 19-year old, heading into Hockey East, he will definitely find himself challenged.

Northeastern University Huskies‘ 2023/2024 commit, center Ben Yurchuk(19) played only 1 season of NAHL juniors, skating 50 games for New Jersey Jr. Titans, scoring 7 goals and 17 assists with a +3 rating.
The 5’10” 162 lbs. forward from Montreal, QC will definitely need to fight for room to play in Hockey East.

Brown University Bears‘ 2023/2024 commit, defenseman Nicholas Bernardo(48) pulled off an NAHL junior best 9 goals and 38 points with a +9 rating for 2nd year team, Maine Nordiques last season, then added 7 points in 7 playoff matchups.
The 5’9″ 170 lbs. blue liner had 31 assists in his 1st frame with the team.
From Hauppauge, NY, the 20-year old will definitely fight for a roster spot as a freshman.

Metro Jets‘ 3rd year high scoring center Alex Schaumburger(14) will next take his game to Adrian College Bulldogs for a 2023/2024 commit.
The 5’10” 181 lbs. forward will be a nice freshman add to the program that took it all the way to the D3 Finals last season.
A Canton, MI native, he was a good scorer from sophomore year forward at Salem High School.
The 20-year old is likely just ready to get started with the next chapter in his life.

12th year right wing Dustin Gazley(10) signs on for a 3rd season with HC Bolzano Foxes, as he continues to put up numbers (31 points in 38 IceHL games) at 33-years of age.
Not too bad for the 5’8″ 161 lbs. forward that came out of Michigan State University Spartans‘ scorer, who spent most of his 1st two seasons tearing up the scoresheet in the ECHL before signing with Hershey Bears.
He stayed with the team for 5 years before heading off to Europe.
The Novi, MI native has to be happy playing pro hockey for the Italian team in the mostly Austrian league.
After scoring a tidy 17 goals and 31 assists in 47 games with a +19 rating, then potting another 13 points in 18 appearances during the playoffs earns him a 4th season to return.
48 points is his highest point total so far in the league.

RIT Tigers‘ 2023/2024 commit, Czech-born net minder Jakub Krbecek(31) started an outstanding 51 NAHL games for Philadelphia Rebels last season, posting a 25-23-1 record with 2.54 GAA and .927 SV%.
The 6’2″ 180 lbs. goalie did most of his youth and junior hockey back home before coming over for 1 year before school.
We expect the 20-year older will step up his play in Atlantic Hockey.

University Of Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks‘ 2023/2024 commit, Norwegian-born center Filip Wiberg(41) takes a strong 2nd season with Maine Nordiques, scoring new NAHL junior bests 17 goals and 32 assists in 60 games with a +26 rating, then added another 7 points (2-5) in the playoffs.
He did most of his youth and some juniors, then actually playing a couple pro games for Frisk Asker and in the lower league before coming here.
The 6’2″ 201 lbs. 21-year old forward should do well with his college club’s schedule.

Colorado College Tigers‘ sophomore defenseman Nate Schweitzer(14) heads for potentially more competitive waters through the transfer portal to arrive at Lake State Superior University Lakers for 2023/2024.
The 6′ 190 lbs. blue liner played a season low 11 games last frame, which is likely why he is looking elsewhere to play.
A Champlain, MN native, he was successful at high school hockey and then moved onto a single USHL frame before college.
Undrafted, the 21-year old will likely find things better in the CCHA.

Sacred Heart University Pioneers‘ 2023/2024 commit, goaltender Cullen DeYoung(30) spent most of his NAHL junior hockey guarding the cage for Northeast Generals.
The 6′ 170 lbs. net minder will definitely be looking to elevate his game some to get wins for his new college team.
From Canton, MI, Atlantic Hockey might be exactly the type of hockey the 21-year old needs moving forward.

Long Island University Sharks‘ Finnish-born senior center Santeri Hartikainen(26) goes pro for 2023/2024 and signs with Kiekko-Vantaa.
The 6’2″ 195 lbs. forward oddly isn’t much of a goal-scorer with no goals and 3 assists in 22 games last season.
His best stake in college hockey was in his sophomore year at Robert Morris University Colonials, scoring 5 goals and 9 assists in 22 games during the COVID shocked 2020/2021 run.
He had outstanding success in high school and his 1 NAHL session for Corpus Christi IceRays at 24 goals and 29 assists in 59 games.
For his junior year, he played at American International College Yellowjackets, appearing in just 6 games.
We think the 24-year old from Helsinki, FI finds room to move and pocket more points in Finland’s tier 2 league, Mestis.
