Detroit Red Wings‘ 3rd round pick in the 2021 draft (#70 overall), University Of Denver Pioneers‘ sophomore left wing Carter Mazur(54) is off to the start in his 2nd frame you would expect from him, scoring 4 goals and an assist in 4 games to get things started.
2021 NCAA Division 1 Champions and selected NCHC Rookie Of The Year, the 6′ 172 lbs. forward had 14 goals and 24 assists with a +23 rating as a rookie.
He’s always seemed to find the back of the net, except maybe his 1st USHL season with Tri-City Storm.

He came over from 2 seasons at Sacred Heart University Pioneers, but played only once.
The almost oddly Winter Haven, FL native had a pretty good run through junior hockey, mostly tending for Northern Cyclones.
It would be surprising to see the 25-year old not do well where he’s going.

Selected after a huge 2020/2021, his 2nd year with Chicago Steel, where the 18-year old scored a league high 48 goals and 37 assists in 51 USHL games with a best +37 rating, then added another 13 points (9-4) in 8 playoff contests to capture the 2021 Clark Cup Championship.
The 5’11” 181 lbs. forward has always been a goal scorer and on a potent college team, he’ll show no signs of slowing pace, so it’s mostly a matter of how long he stays before signing his entry level deal.
After 2 seasons with exactly 36 points in 34 games, it’s zero surprise to see him sign his 3-year NHL entry level contract to get things started on a Calgary team that needs to keep winning to wild card.

The 23-year old, Potsdam, NY native bounced around juniors mostly, but finished on a super strong showing for Lewiston/Auburn Nordiques, scoring 23 goals and 37 assists in 35 NA3HL games.

Coumbus Blue Jackets sign Colorado College Tigers‘ junior center Hunter McKown(41) to a 3-year NHL entry level deal.
The 6’1″ 205 lbs. forward scored a college career best 21 goals and 28 points in 38 games as assistant captain last season.
A 20-year old San Jose, CA native played 2 years of USNTDP before heading to college.
They seem to have plans for this skater.

Undrafted, UMass-Lowell Riverhawks‘ Swedish-born, senior, captain center Carl Berglund(18) scores himself a nice 2-year NHL entry level deal with Edmonton Oilers, who easily had him on their radar to pursue a signing so quickly as he opts out of the Hockey East Tournament and any further playoff action.
He scored a college best 12 goals and one point off his career high points 27 last season, so definitely has shown good consistency.
The 6’2″ 207 lbs. forward is likely to report to affiliate Bakersfield Condors to get some starting time play.
It will be little surprise to see the 23-year old make the parent club out of training camp in the fall.

The 5’9″ 181 lbs. forward did 4 years at St. Lawrence University Saints scoring a college best 6 goals and 13 assistsas a senior captain.
He has yet to hit the stat sheet in 2 ECHL games.
The 24-year old from Madrid, NY only did only BCHL season prior to heading to college.
