Stonehill College Skyhawks‘ junior right wing Matthew Romer(71) came to his 3rd school after 23 games with 5 goals and 3 assists for Northern Michigan University Wildcats last season.

The 5’11” 179 lbs. forward plays a full-on power forward style and already has a best 6 goals and 2 assists to tie his high 8 points, so he is having a one-of-a-kind year.

From Carpentersville, IL, the 23-year old did 3 years of juniors before heading to Arizona State University Sun Devils.

Minnesota State University Mavericks‘ freshman defenseman Luke Ashton(27) had a solid 1st season of 5 goals and 8 assists in 38 games with a +10 rating.

The mammoth 6’6″ 240 lbs. blue liner was a Columbus Blue Jackets‘ 6th round pick of the 2024 NHL draft (#165 overall) after a 2nd, huge BCHL frame.

For his sophomore year, he decided to head into the transfer portal to play at Cornell University Big Red.

In 8 games, he has 3 assists with a +5 rating.

From North Vancouver, BC, maybe the 20-year old eyed something different for his actual studies.

Salem State University Vikings‘ Great Britain-born, junior defenseman Aren Francis(7) is very much set of recording college hockey scoring highs with a best 2 goals and close 4 assists in just 8 games with a +1 rating.

The 6′ 194 lbs. blue liner played 22 games last season, recording 5 assists.

He did a lot of his youth hockey close by to school here before 1 brief EHL session before school.

The 22-year old did his freshman year of little use at Western New England University Golden Bears.

Undrafted 6th year, left wing J.C. Campagna(93) comes off a season, where he skated only 4 ECHL games for Florida Everblades and Wichita Thunder, but mostly took 2020/2021 off.

He has played 171 games in the league, scoring 65 goals and 58 assists.

The 6’4″ 205 lbs. power forward played in three junior leagues (OJHL, OHL and QMJHL) before turning his sights on St. Thomas University Tommies for two years, then University Of Prince Edward Island Panthers for one before turning pro with Adirondack Thunder, potting 6 goals and 4 assists in 16 games.

Nothing strange about that, except the former Ohio Blue Jackets 16U AAA is a Dallas, TX native.

The 28-year old signs with Toledo Walleye for 2021/2022 and we think that could be a super-charged good choice to pocket some career point totals.

He actually switched out his signing to Allen Americans more than midway through the frame, scoring 10 goals and 5 assists in 21 games to agreeing to a new contract for 2022/2023 with Tulsa Oilers, which should be an awesome resting space for him.

Not exactly sure what happened in Oklahoma, but it wasn’t necessarily bad stats, yet he decides to switch things up big and leaves for HC Presov of Slovak Extraliga and already has 4 goals and 1 assist in 4 games, so must be liking it alright.

He actually scores 6 goals and 6 assists in 17 games, but maybe his -10 wasn’t all that great, so left for DEL2, signing with EHC Freiburg, maybe taking it up a little in the playoffs.

For 2023/2024 though, he decides to return and signs with Utah Grizzlies.

He played in only 12 games, getting 1 goal and 4 assists.

It’s taken maybe a little bit to decide where to head next and will once again head across the pond and signs in Slovakia2 with MHK Humenne.

He was limited to only 4 games, but hammered home 2 goals.

For 2025/2026, he returns to shores and signs with Worcester Railers, who will welcome his size into their lineup.

After being let go before skating for his new team, Grizzlies steps back in to give him a contract.

University Of Denver Pioneers‘ sophomore net minder Fred Halyk(1) enters the transfer portal after decent use, 13 and 9 games to start for Brown University Bears, who lost their goalie this season.

The massive 6’6″ 220 lbs. backstop has a 2-0 record with less than stellar numbers will come.

He had 3 shutouts as a freshman.

From Cochrane,AB, the 22-year old should continue to mature and do well for his new ECAC team.

 

University Of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves‘ junior defenseman Joey Potter(3) transferred from a freshman year at Union College Dutchmen, maybe wanting to head back close to where he played his 2nd season of NAHL juniors at Fairbanks Ice Dogs, amassing 34 assists.

The 5’11” 185 lbs. blue liner from Los Angeles, CA has 2 goals and 2 assists in 12 games for his new club.

He’s 22-years old and plays like a leader out there, when he’s not catching some zzz’s.

West Chester Wolves‘ 3rd year left wing Sean Tyrie(23) jumped between USPHL/NCDC and Premier teams in his 1st 2 seasons of juniors and after time with the mostly home team, Utica Jr. Comets didn’t work.

For 2025/2026, the 5’8″ 161 lbs. forward commits to Worcester State University Lancers.

In 7 games, he has a 1st college hockey goal and 3 assists.

From East Quogue, NY, the 21-year old is looking to make an impression at his next level.
