Long Island University 2021/2022 commit Dylan Schuett(10) comes into the brand new program having been twice captain of Northeast Generals, where he scored a career high 14 goals and 31 points in 47 NAHL games last season.

He was also sidelined for a couple of months with a shoulder injury but didn’t seem to miss much game time in what was a mostly away game schedule for the Attleboro, MA-based team.

The 6’1″ 205 lbs. forward came to the U.S. from Calgary, AB prep school with an eye on a D1 goal.

He started his journey with a campaign in the EHL with East Coast Wizards after things stretched out and it seemed like the best fit to move forward.

As just a 17-year old teenager he put up 33 goals and 31 assists in 48 games to get Rookie Of The Year marks from the league.

He was loaned up for a couple of game stretch to Brookings Blizzard, where he potted a first goal at the higher level, and got signed to rejoin them permanently for his follow up to the tier 3 journey.

The 20-year will probably strike early as a first year player in college and we’re sure he can’t wait to get started.

Buffalo Sabres‘ Swedish-born 7th round pick in the 2017 draft (#192 overall) left wing Linus Weissbach(9) scores himself a two-year NHL entry level deal, which won’t start up until 2021/2022, instead of having him report to their affiliate immediately, which could be a bit space jeopardized.

The small-is 5’9″ 175 lbs. forward left four years at University Of Wisconsin with a college career high 12 goals, 29 assists for 41 points and a +7 rating and some say he got off to the best start ever for school with a two-goal effort, including a game-winner.

He played virtually all of his youth hockey and the beginning of juniors with Frolunda HC before coming across for a session with Tri City Storm of the USHL, where he was basically a point-per-game player prior to committing to college.

The 23-year old may not have size but he’s got shiftiness and enough speed to go.

He’ll be a great watch.

Undrafted rookie goaltender Aidan Pelino(30) had a split session, first joining Finland’s tier 2 league Mestis signing with RoKi but seemed to struggle some through 6 appearances.

Eying another opportunity in Switzerland’s HockeyEttan he agreed to terms with Sollentuna HC doing much better in 5 games posting a 3-2 record with a 2.61 GAA and .907 SV%.

The 6’2″ 195 lbs. net minder played four seasons at Bentley University Falcons, always putting together decent stats.

From Oakville, ON he committed to college during his second BCHL season with Chilliwack Chiefs.

Where the 25-year old heads next is still up in the air but he should continue to land in some pretty nice places to play pro hockey.

Unreal big, former Clarkson University Golden Knights‘ defenseman (6’7″ 238 lbs.) Connor Murphy(2) signs a two-year deal with the newly named Bridgeport Islanders starting in the upcoming 2021/2022 season.

Not exactly a huge point scorer, one look at his junior year numbers (9 goals, 11 assists in 34 NCAA ECAC games) reflects what we think is more possible as a pro.

The LaSalle, QC native has shown good consistency with being reliable in his own zone through college and two years of junior play in the BCHL for Chilliwack Chiefs, where in his 2nd campaign really broke out.

At 25-years old and based on the size of this young man, this is a signing that almost can’t possibly go wrong.

Pittsburgh Penguins signed undrafted, two year Arizona State University Sun Devils‘ defenseman Josh Maniscalco(24) to a 3-year entry level deal after his most impressive frame, scoring 11 goals and 21 assists in 36 NCAA WCHA appearances, then the playoffs got scrapped and his upcoming season was potentially going to be put on pause.

The fairly large 6’2″ 205 lbs. blue liner was assigned to affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, but has found it difficult to grab space to play.

He has been mostly out of the lineup in 31 AHL games, appearing only in 8 with no points but is a +1 rating for his efforts.

The PA native skated a pair of campaigns for the USNTDP team before moving along to a nicely impressive run as  Dubuque Fighting Saints team captain, which got him 9 goals and 23 assists in 59 USHL games.

Once the 22-year old finds his opening, it’s likely he’ll start connecting.

Undrafted former US Army Black Knights‘ goaltender Trevin Kozlowski(60) signed an ato with Iowa Wild in the last month of the 2021 season after his on-off COVID busted 4th year at college went.

In that session though, he managed to start 20 NCAA Atlantic Hockey games and post a tidy record of 14-4-1 with a 1.91 GAA and .922 SV%.

His numbers as a junior weren’t quite as good but still very good for the mammoth 6’4″ 220 lbs. net minder from Valencia, CA.

In his AHL debut, he stopped 19 of 22 shots in a 3-2 loss.

The 24-year old was also stellar in prep school play but oddly stumbled in his one season up north in the BCHL.

We think he will earn his way up the ladder.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins‘ left wing Luke McInnis(21) received his AHL contract right after draft club Carolina Hurricanes let his rights to sign expire.

He was selected in the 5th round of 2015 (#126 overall).

The massive 6’5″ 207 lbs. forward has yet to record a point in 12 games.

He left 4 years at Yale University Bulldogs with a college career high 7 goals and 5 assists for 12 points in a playoff cut short 2019/2020, and was definitely a decent scorer at prep school, especially in his final year, where he popped the sheet with 24 goals and 31 assists in only 28 games.

That’s great math.

It seems a little odd that the huge frame pivot and son of Kevin Stevens (874 NHL games, 329 goals, 397 assists) wouldn’t just sit in front of the net to pop in tallies, but it’s possible the 24-year old is still working on that in his game.

Utica Comets‘ rookie right wing Shawn Cameron(15) spent the first part of his pro career on reassignment to kind of cool ECHL affiliate Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where he pockets 3 goals and 4 assists in 13 games with a +7 rating to be on his way to a recall.

The solid 5’11” 195 lbs. forward came up early last month and has been basically in the lineup going forward, scoring a goal and 2 assists and even has a multi-point streak.

From Sherbrooke, QC, he did junior hockey in the CCHL closer to home before accepting an invitation to come to Rochester Institute Of Technology.

He spent four seasons with the team, leaving with a college career best 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points with a +5 rating in a COVID busted the playoffs’ season.

The 25-year old will likely find another year where he is or another AHL contract elsewhere for his potential.

After two years with Quinnipiac University Bobcats, Swedish native, center William Fällström(90) decides to head back home to pursue pro hockey initially signing with Tingsryds AIF but ultimately finishing up 2020/2021 HockeyAllvenskan season skating 26 games for HC Vita Hasten scoring 5 goals and 4 assists.

After playing most of his youth hockey back home, he came over to play for Omaha Lancers, then started the next frame with Bloomington Thunder, but after 4 appearances returned to Djurgardens IF J20.

The 5’11” 187 lbs. forward showed up a 2nd time for his best junior outing with Fargo Force, getting new bests 14 goals, 31 assists for 45 points and a +15 rating.

He would take these totals to a 2018 USHL Clark Cup Championship, grabbing another 9 points (2-7) in 14 playoff games on the way to the title.

It would be early during this time in America that he would commit to college.

The 23-year old will likely continue to press and hopefully score with more frequency to earn space up in the highest league, SHL.

Former Northeastern University Huskies‘ 2018/2019 captain, defenseman Eric Williams(24) has bounced between a couple of ECHL squads in this COVID busted season.

He is currently with Indy Fuel and has an assist in 3 games, coming over from Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where in 20 appearances he had only a goal and 2 assists.

Initially signing with Norfolk Admirals and Cincinnati Cyclones for the current session, both unfortunately opted out due to restrictions caused by the pandemic.

The decently sized 6’1″ 200 lbs. blue liner had a more effective campaign as a rookie with Utah Grizzlies, getting himself 7 tallies and 16 helpers, which completely outdid any numbers he produced through four years at college.

A Newmarket, ON native, he had a pair of spectacular showings in junior hockey up north in the OJHL with Aurora Tigers, twice capturing the title of most goals by a defenseman in the league.

Tough to say where the 25-year old will look next to play coming off a disappointing, tough to navigate year.
