Brown University Bears‘ 2023/2024 commit, defenseman Nicholas Bernardo(48) pulled off an NAHL junior best 9 goals and 38 points with a +9 rating for 2nd year team, Maine Nordiques last season, then added 7 points in 7 playoff matchups.

The 5’9″ 170 lbs. blue liner had 31 assists in his 1st frame with the team.

From Hauppauge, NY, the 20-year old will definitely fight for a roster spot as a freshman.

He actually second guessed his 1st thought, went to Long Island University Sharks instead and as a sophomore scored 8 goals and 9 assists in 30 games with a +4 rating.

Maybe he’s getting itchy for something different or changes his degree program, but enters the transfer portal and will next play for Sacred Heart University Pioneers in his junior frame, 2026/2027.

We think he finds space, does well in Atlantic Hockey.

University Of Lowell Riverhawks‘ undrafted junior center Reid Stefanson(14) catches maximum air in their first of two vs. Northeastern University Huskies.

The Winnipeg-born 6′ 185 lbs. forward was not able to connect with the scoresheet in the game but was a full part of a sound 4-1 win.

He did two years of junior hockey starting with a season in the NAHL but finished up skating for Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL.

The senior graduated with exact totals of 8 goals and 12 assists he posted as a rookie, but always skated hard and was tough to play against.

Upon getting beaten in Hockey East tournament play, he signs a 1st pro contract with somewhat local Maine Mariners.

He didn’t connect in his debut, but got on the score sheet in game 2 and followed it up with another and a two-game point streak.

The 25-year old is finding his footing quickly in the ECHL.

He will return to Maine for his rookie season after scoring a pair of goals and assists in 9 games on an ato, and another 2 points in 6 playoff appearances.

The power forward should be able to take his game up nicely in his first official season and could even score a loan up.

After a 22 goal and 25 assist performance with a +22 rating in 69 games, he is an easy re-sign to stay in a Mariners‘ jersey for 2023/2024.

He’s an easy point-per-game player as a full 2nd year player in the league and looks elsewhere to find a nice deal with Vienna Capitals to continue in IceHL, where he will likely do very well for himself and become something of a star on skates.

In 13 games, he comes away with 2 goals and 6 assists and maybe doesn’t feel like he is quite catching on, so heads to the EIHL, where he signs with Nottingham Panthers for 2024/2025.

He does pretty well scoring here, but may likes hockey a little better in Central Europe and signs Meran/Merano of AlpsHL, where he should do exceedingly well.

In just 23 games, he scores 12 goals and 23 assists with a +8 rating, then adds another 20 points (a league high 17 assists) in the playoffs.

He decides to continue moving along and spots a deal in Germany3 with KSW IceFighters Leipzig for 2026/2027.

University Of Connecticut Huskies‘ senior captain left wing Tabor Heaslip(12) had a decent 7 goals and 12 assists in 38 games with a new high +13 rating.

The 5’9″ 174 lbs. forward signs a 1st pro deal with Kansas City Mavericks.

In 5 ECHL games he scores a 1st goal and 1 assist with a +2 rating.

Unfortunately there’s not enough room for him on the playoff roster.

From Fort Worth, TX, the 24-year old did 2 USHL years before college.

SUNY Canton Roos‘ senior left wing Jordyn Mughal(13) signs a 1st pro deal with Twin City Thunderbirds.

In 2 FPHL games, he had no points before the season expired.

The 6’2″ 205 lbs. forward has never really been a goal scorer with his best college season as a junior, 2 goals and 2 assists.

He hasn’t exactly been on a top notch club for points, but maybe if he gets a new deal for 2026/2027 that will change.

University Of Denver Pioneers‘ Swedish-born, senior goaltender Magnus Chrona(30) signs a 2-year entry level deal with San Jose Sharks after being picked up in a trade with draft team Tampa Bay Lightning, where he was selected in the 5th round of 2018 (#152 overall).

The absolutely massive 6’6″ 216 lbs. net minder has always done well at school, winning the 2022 NCAA Division 1 Championship in what was his best season as a junior with a 28-8-1 with a 2.11 GAA and .911 SV%.

He would likely be best to sign an ato with affiliate San Jose Barracuda, as they fight to make the last playoff spot.

In his rookie year, he plays the full gambit of pro hockey leagues from the ECHL, AHL and NHL, but definitely looks to be working out the some kinks for consistency.

A big offseason trade sends him to Nashville Predators to continue and he’ll likely get the nod in net for affiliate Milwaukee Admirals to start.

He spends 2 seasons in net for the affiliate, but his contract is up and he is looking to home for his next contract, signing with Brynas IF of the SHL, which should be outstanding for him.

Boston University Terriers‘ Swedish-born defenseman Malte Vass(57) isn’t happy with the season he had, so enters the transfer portal to next play his college hockey at Hockey East rivals University Of New Hampshire Wildcats.

The 6’3″ 194 lbs. forward is a Columbus Blue Jackets‘ 3rd pick in the 2025 NHL draft (#76 overall).

He did all his youth hockey and juniors back home before coming to school.

In 22 games, he had 3 assists, which we look to improve in further play.

Western Michigan University Broncos‘ Swedish-born senior center Liam Valente(40) had a college best 20 goals and 35 points with a +12 rating in 39 games.

The 6′ 201 lbs. forward played a college best 42 games as a junior and had a high 19 assists in the year the team won the 2025 NCAA D1 Championship.

He played all his youth hockey and juniors back home before playing 2 pro games for HC Kalmar, scoring a 1st Hockeyettan goal before heading to Providence College Friars.

The 22-year old transferred after his sophomore year of inconsistent play and signed a 1-year AHL deal with Rochester Americans for 2026/2027 that is surely under the watch of the parent club, Buffalo Sabres.

In 2 games, he has a 1st goal.

Providence College Friars‘ freshman Anaheim Ducks‘ 1st round pick in the 2025 draft (#10 overall) center Roger McQueen(29) scored 11 goals and 16 assists in a full slate of 36 games with a +5 rating.

The very big 6’6″ 198 lbs. forward wastes no time to sign his 3-year NHL entry level contract through 2028/2029, as tournament play wraps up.

He signs an ato with affiliate San Diego Gulls, scoring a 1st AHL goal and 2 assists in 7 games.

From Saskatoon, SK, the 19-year did 3 WHL years with Brandon Wheat Kings before college, being 1 of the 1st players to go that route through Canadian juniors initially.
