Brown University Bears‘ 2-time captain, senior right wing Tristan Crozier(16) will extend a year of eligibility and head to Merrimack College Crusaders for 2022/2023.

He scored a college career best 6 goals and 9 assists last season in 26 NCAA Division 1 games played.

The 5’11” 183 lbs. forward from North Vancouver, BC spent 4 years in junior hockey, first a pair of seasons in the AJHL, then 2 super good in the BCHL for Nanaimo Clippers before heading to school.

He will definitely be more challenged where he’s headed, but the 24-year old could be ready.

In 38 games, he gets 2 goals and 9 assists on a ride that ends in the Hockey East Finals.

Upon being eliminated, he signs a 1st pro deal with Tulsa Oilers and in 7 ECHL has 1 goal and 3 assists on a non-playoff club.

For his official rookie season, he is setting off to see something different and play elsewhere, signing a 1-year deal with Les Jokers Cergy-Pontoise of Ligue Magnus 2023/2024.

He actually seems to have a decent amount of success in the regular campaign, then through the playoffs, but has decided he won’t want to seek out another contract and retires.

Undrafted 3rd year center Max Willman(20) has quite the unlikely, surprise hockey story to tell.

Upon finishing up his one year in a graduate program at Boston University Terriers after a transfer from Brown University Bears, he signed an ECHL contract to join Reading Royals.

The 6′ 183 lbs. forward was loaned up to Lehigh Valley Phantoms a couple of months into his rookie run and earned an spc, mostly staying in the AHL, earning 3 goals and 6 assists in 24 games before the season exploded with no playoffs.

He re-signed to stay and in a weirdo season with like 3 constant opponents, he ascended to a career high 9 goals, 7 assists and 16 points with a +7 in just 30 games.

His efforts have earned him an NHL 2-year, 2-way deal with Philadelphia Flyers that starts in the upcoming frame.

The 26-year old is likely all smiles heading into 2021/2022.

And the story continues to take the strangest turns, as the Barnstable, MA native has made the opening night roster of the Broad Street Bullies and skated 13 shifts for 9:30 of total ice with one shot on net, one hit, 2 minutes in the sin bin and left the 5-4 shootout loss a -1 rating.

An unrestricted free agent, he signs a 1-year 2-way deal with New Jersey Devils for 2023/2024.

In 18 games with the big club, he scores 3 goals and 1 assist with a +1 rating and he scores himself another year, another look in a Devils‘ jersey.

Clarkson University Golden Knights‘ freshman center Daimon Gardner(16) maybe wants to play his college hockey a little closer to home, enters the transfer portal and will skate for St. Cloud State University Huskies as a sophomore 2024/2025.

The big 6’4″ 201 lbs. Eagle Lake, ON native, Vancouver Canucks‘ 4th round pick in the 2022 draft (#112 overall) forward had an odd little travel through 2 years of USHL with Tri-City Storm split by 1-year of blow-up scoring at Warroad High USHS-MN.

He had 1 goal and 5 assists in ECAC play last season.

We think a happier 20-year old will score more.

Providence College 2021/2022 commit, center Blake Humphrey(11) agreed to head to this college after an outstanding season, playing 106 games for Buffalo Jr. Sabres 15U AAA, scoring 42 goals and 54 assists.

The 5’10” 161 lbs. forward looks to have played some of  the next year at Lawrence Academy, where he also popped the scoring bubble with 7 goals and 29 assists in 27 USHS-Prep games.

He would be selected in both 2020 drafts and reported to Sioux Falls Stampede but lasted just three USHL games with a goal and 2 assists and head to the other club he was selected by New Jersey Jr. Titans, where he played out the remainder of 2020/2021, getting a very decent 16 goals and 15 assists in 38 NAHL games.

The 19-year old will be an excellent addition to Hockey East action.

He actually recommits to Sacred Heart University Pioneers instead and spends 2 largely unspectacular years there, enters the transfer portal and will do his junior session at Lake Superior State University Lakers.

Harvard University Crimson undrafted junior net minder Derek Mullahy(35) recorded his first collegiate career shutout last weekend, while also posting a 4-1 victory on the previous evening to earn himself ECAC Goaltender Of The Week honors.

The 6′ 174 lbs. goalie has a 4-0 record on the season with a measly 1.00 GAA and .956 SV%.

A close by Scituate, MA native, he played his high school at Dexter Southfield before tending a couple of USHL campaigns before college.

The 21-year old still has plenty to earn a prove his capable of #1 duties.

As a junior, he started a new best 17 games, enters the transfer portal and will do his senior year at Michigan Tech Huskies.

University Of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves‘ sophomore defenseman Will Gilson(8) will take his college high 12 assists and 15 points into the transfer portal to play as a junior for RPI Engineers.

The 6′ 170 lbs. blue liner was definitely a lot more balanced in his play on a better team last season.

He did 2 sessions with Junior Bruins, getting 10+ assists.

From Old Greenwich, CT, the 22-year old is likely looking for a new start a little closer to home.

Undrafted center Danny Weight(17) takes a single season at Boston College Eagles across the country through the transfer portal to Colorado College Tigers, where he’ll look to finish up the next three years.

He seemed to struggle scoring only grabbing a goal and an assist as a freshman in 19 Hockey East games.

It’s doubtful that the college division play was too much, but potentially he could have expected different coming from an all-star season for Penticton Vees, scoring 25 goals and 35 assists in 58 BCHL games.

He seems to score in seasonal spurts with nothing matching the 120 points (52-68) in 83 games he was able to put up as a P.A.L. Junior Islanders 16U AAA.

The 20-year old 6′ 175 lbs. forward will likely find more room to skate in the NCHC, but it still won’t be easy.

Oh, and he happens to be former 1238 NHL games played and 1033 points’ Hall Of Fame, center Doug Weight‘s son.

He skated in only 6 games on a well-led team last season, but is now a graduate and enters the transfer portal for one last college skate.

The Edmonton, AB native will next play some Atlantic Hockey with American International College Yellowjackets, which also brings him back east.

We believe he finds more space in this conference too.

Northern Michigan University Wildcats‘ Danish-born, graduate defenseman Jeppe Urup Mogensten(4) will take his pro game back home and signs with Odense Bulldogs of Metal Ligaen for 2024/2025.

The 6’2″ 196 lbs. blue liner only played 8 games last season, registering no points.

He transferred from 4 seasons at Sacred Heart University Pioneers, playing a diminishing numbers of games as he went.

University Of Wisconsin Badgers‘ freshman defenseman Brady Cleveland(6) leaves college hockey close to home in Wausau, WI to play out west at Colorado College Tigers for his sophomore campaign 2024/2025.

The absolutely mammoth 6’5″ 210 lbs. blue liner didn’t score last year in 16 games with a good team.

He’s only really amounted to 3 assists on the stat sheet at any given USNTDP junior season, but definitely plays with accountability by just lying across the zone and no one gets in.

We think he finds more breathing room, playing room to his game.
