He transferred from 1 year at Nichols College Bison.
The 24-year old Bronx, NY native played mostly USPHL/NCDC as a junior, but did go up to the OJHL for half a session.
Stonehill College Skyhawks‘ sophomore defenseman Greg Japchen(2) is off an running with his new college club, scoring 1 goal and 7 assists in 11 games after transferring from 8 games, no points with Union College Dutchmen as a freshman.
The 6’4″ 205 lbs. blue liner was twice good for 20+ points in his 2 NAHL seasons.
From Doylestown, PA, he played most of his youth hockey around his house before leaving for junior stops.
The 21-year old has to be pretty happy with his decision and looks like he always belongs out there.
Hobart College Statesmen senior center Jonah Alexander(14) has 4 assists in 5 games, but still has a little ways to go to eclipse marks he set as a junior with 15 goals and 19 assists in 30 D3 games.
The 5’11” 185 lbs. forward transferred from his freshman year at University Of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers, where he appeared in 10 games with no points.
A Toronto, ON native, he did 4 years of OJHL junior hockey for St. Michael’s Buzzers, really running totals (78 points in 54 games) in his final season before college.
The 24-year old is a good watch, as he’s fast on his skates and occupies a lot of the ice.
Stonehill College Skyhawks‘ sophomore goaltender Dylan Meilun(31) transferred in from an amazing D3 season for University Of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets, where he posted a 12-3-2 record with 1.51 GAA and .941 SV%.
The absolutely huge 6’5″ 220 lbs. net minder doesn’t have the start he wants, but is playing mostly a schedule of tough D1 opponents to stop.
From Winnipeg, MB, the 21-year old is likely going to get comfortable as he gets to backstop some easier opponents.
Curry College Colonels‘ only graduate skater on their 2023/2024 hockey roster is Austan Bellefeuille(23), who entered the transfer portal a couple of seasons ago to arrive from 3 at Nichols College Bison.
It’s early in the frame, but the 6’2″ 174 lbs. forward is looking pretty good with 1 goal and 1 assist through 3 games.
He has never really been an amazing scorer, but you have to figure if he can stick close to the net, the puck will come to him to bury it.
The 23-year old from Framingham, MA is definitely playing some quality ice time.
Salve Regina University Seahawks‘ senior left wing Ian Tookenay(18) doesn’t have any points in 4 games, but we expect once he finds the net it will equal some good results for what could be his final college year.
The 6′ 170 lbs. forward came over from Norwich University Cadets, where he skated only 5 games in 2 frames at the school.
A Fort Frances, ON native, the 23-year old played most of 2 seasons in the MJHL with Winkler Flyers, doing well in his 2nd session.
Undrafted, left wing Aidan Spellacy(8) was originally at his junior year of Roger Morris University Pioneers, but when the program went belly-up, entered the transfer portal and was next heading to St. Cloud State University Huskies for his senior and a graduate session.
The 5’11” 174 lbs. has 4 times scored 10+ points in college, but really hasn’t been too effective a scorer.
Upon graduation, he signed an ato with Kalamazoo Wings and in 6 ECHL games pocketed 2 goals.
He was set to return for his official rookie season, but has ultimately decided to sign in the EIHL for 2023/2024 and joins a pretty famous hockey club in Coventry Blaze.

The 5’11” 187 lbs. blue liner wasn’t exactly a big point scorer, but did have 6 goals and 9 assists through 23 games as a freshman.
He’s off to a strong start with his new club, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 outings.
From Chilliwack, BC, the 23-year old is the type of player you see that will turn pro.
Iowa Heartlanders land University Of Notre Dame Fighting Irish graduate defenseman Ben Brinkman(4) for 2023/2024.
The fairly big 6’1″ 220 lbs. blue liner 1st did 4 years at University Of Minnesota Golden Gophers keeping offenders on the perimeters.
He did no junior hockey, instead heading straight from USHS-MN to college.
The 23-year old will likely be looking for a loan up from the ECHL.
