After only playing a haldful of games in his 3 seasons at Merrimack College Warriors, decent sized defenseman Kevin Sadovski(8) branches out for his senior year to try something new at UMASS-Boston Beacons.

The 6′ 20o lbs. blue liner already has 2 goals and 1 assist in 4 D3 games to start with his new college club.

From Palm Coast, FL, the 24-year old did much of his junior hockey up north, most successfully maybe in his final season as captain of Utica Comets, scoring 10 goals and 30 assists.

Salve Regina University Seahawks‘ senior center Joseph Kile(81) is still early in the season, but looks to be on pace to even or better what he did last season with 16 goals and 12 assists in 25 games with a +7 rating.

The 6’1″ 193 lbs. forward has 2 goals and 4 assists in 4 games with a +5 already.

He did 3 years at SUNY-Plattsburgh Cardinals, but didn’t play 1 due to COVID restrictions.

The 25-year old Troy, MI native played 3 years of junior hockey, mostly in the NAHL with Johnstown Tomahawks.

Undrafted right wing Matt Fawcett(8) will take his game to University Of Maine Black Bears for 2021/2022 after two years at Quinnipiac University Bobcats.

He’s very small at 5’6″ 148 lbs. but quick enough on his skates to find space and has shown to be a more than consistent scorer in his time at Winchendon School, where he had just a colossal 81 goals and what 113 assists in 107 USHS-Prep games.

The Lincoln, RI native also was potting points with MSHL U16 & U18 teams and headed off twice for late USHL stints with Sioux City Musketeers before deciding to head up north to a shortened 21 games season for Powell Rivers Kings, but still managed 10 goals and 10 assists in 21 BCHL games.

The 22-year old junior will no doubt add some energy to his new college club.

We think this may be one of the more interesting cool, college hockey moves of the offseason, he will take his game to Salve Regina University Raiders for a 2023/2024 (listed as junior?) frame and likely do awesome, be fun to watch in official D3 hockey.

In 4 games with his new college team, he already has sniped 6 goals and 5 assists in all wins.

Canisius College Golden Griffins‘ senior left wing Randy Hernandez(20) is looking to eclipse marks he set last season in a 40 game high frame with 8 goals and 13 assists, as he has 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 games to start 2023/2024.

The 6′ 190 lbs. forward started at Robert Morris University Pioneers after most of a pair of sessions with Brooks Bandits of the AJHL, but left due to them pulling hockey.

A Miami, FL native, he also went through a couple of sessions with USNTDP before heading further north to Canada for more junior hockey.

We are thinking he plays an Atlantic Hockey run this year after winning it last that gets him noticed.

Albertus Magnus College Falcons‘ freshman right wing Stephen Kyrkostas(23) enters the transfer portal late and will next lace them up for SUNY-Cortland Red Dragons for his sophomore season, 2023/2024.

He played 24 games last season, scoring 4 goals and 5 assists.

The 5’11” 174 lbs. forward was a solid score in his 2nd NAHL session for Johnstown Tomahawks, scoring 19 goals and 31 assists with a +10 rating in 60 games.

We think the 22-year old from Long Island, NY does better at his school a little closer to home.

After 2 outstanding seasons for UMass-Lowell Riverhawks, including an overtime game-winning goal to send the team to the Hocky East Tournament Finals, undrafted, junior left wing Matthew Brown(46) jumps at a great opportunity to continue with Boston University Terriers, starting 2021/2022.

The small 5’9″ but wide 190 lbs. forward committed after an outstanding season for former tier 3 junior hockey with close-to-home New Jersey Rockets, where he exploded the stat sheet for 31 goals and 20 assists in 44 EHL games and Rookie Of The Year honors.

He was quickly put into a higher program, first signing with Dubuque Fighting Saints but that lasted all of 6 games before  a trade across leagues and he turned up more happily in uniform for Odessa Jackalopes, and his scoring once again elevated.

The Wood Ridge, NJ native looked back to skate at the highest level possible, signing with Des Moines Buccaneers to before heading to school.

Once again, he was a point-per-game producer, getting 30 goals and 27 assists in 57 games.

The 21-year old stays in Hockey East, so knows what to expect.

He’s feeling his new environment in his 1st year and scores 17 points in 24 appearances, but has it all figured out as a senior, helping his club to the Final Four with a bang up 16 goals and 31 assists with a +15 rating.

For his 1st pro deal, now 23-years old, he signs a pto with Lehigh Valley Phantoms to help them try to push Calder Cup playoff limits.

He will skate his rookie season with the team as he signs a 1-year AHL contract for 2023/2024.

To start his rookie frame, he has 1 assist in 2 games, which we think is an indicator.

Salve Regina University Seahawks seem to be scooping up a lot of cast offs and there’s little doubt it will be to their benefit, as the latest is Bradey Farrell(3) after just 1 frame at Albertus Magnus College Falcons, scoring 1 goal and 3 assists in 24 games with maybe a little bit of an oddball +12 rating.

The 6’3″ 216 lbs. big blue liner will easily be a welcome addition to the CCC D3 division.

His two frames at USPHL/NCDC for Junior Bruins were almost identical.

From Burriville, RI, the 22-year old will take his college hockey closer to home.

Undrafted left wing Max Kaufman(92) takes a graduate year of eligibility, his 2nd at Boston University Terriers into a 1st pro contract with Laval Rocket, but is reassigned to start his career with affiliate Trois Rivieres Lions.

The small 5’8″ 165 lbs. forward has already skated 14 ECHL games, getting a 1st goal and 2 assists with a +3 rating.

He committed to University Of Vermont Catamounts after a successful USHS-Prep junior year at Kent School and spent three seasons there.

The Pittsford, NY native would take an interesting move and head north for a pair of campaigns for Langley Rivermen, where 51 goals and 56 assists in 105 BCHL games before heading to school.

At 25-years old, he may already be ready to join a squad and make a difference.

After a decent enough early showing season, he signs for his rookie run 2022/2023 with 1st year team, Savannah Ghost Pirates.

He produces 9 goals and 11 assists in 57 games last season, which isn’t bad for a 1st year player until he finds himself involved in a trade that sends him to Tulsa Oilers for 2023/2024, but will need a contract.

In a little bit of a switch, he maybe can’t come to terms with his new club and agrees to a 1-year deal with Meudon Cometes of France2.

After only 13 games as a freshman at Nichols College Bison, center Ike Frankel(10) enters the transfer portal to a team that can definitely use him, despite only getting 1 goal in the last frame, Franklin Pierce University Ravens.

The 6’1″ 175 lbs. forward from San Diego, CA was a big scorer in 3 seasons of USPHL Premier with Minnesota Moose, grabbing 40+ points twice and 50 once.

He played all his youth hockey close to home and we think he’s going to find the net in NEHC play.
