Undrafted Brown University Bears‘ senior defenseman James Crossman(26) will take his game to Michigan State University Spartans for 2023/2024.

He posted maybe a little surprising 9 goals and 3 assists in his last frame at school.

The fairly big 6’3″ 200 lbs. blue liner put up 27 assists with Odessa Jackalopes in his 2nd of 3 NAHL seasons.

From Cherry Hills, CO, the 22-year old will have to compete hard in the Big Ten Conference.

Clarkson University Golden Knights‘ junior left wing Alexander Campbell(11) pushes off through the transfer portal for something new heading into 2023/2024, his senior year and will play for Northeastern University Huskies.

The 5’10” 176 lbs. wasn’t able to match his output from his sophomore season (16 goals, 17 assists), but was close with 26 points (14, 12) in 34 games.

From Chateauguay, QC, the 22-year old had 2 very good junior BCHL and USHL sessions.

Hockey East may be a little bit of a college hockey wake up call.

Chicago Blackhawks picked up the playing rights of Pittsburgh Penguins‘ 6th round pick in the 2018 draft (#177 overall), Princeton University Tigers‘ senior center Liam Gorman(14) is having a college career year with 11 goals and 6 assists.

The 6’2″ 187 lbs. forward was selected as a senior captain for his high school, St. Sebastian’s School team, putting up 16 goals and 22 assists in 24 USHS-Prep games.

He didn’t really play any junior games before heading to college.

The 22-year from Boston, MA is a young graduate, but will be an easy look for an NHL entry level.

He ultimately ended up with a college career best 12 goals and 12 assists and still has a season of eligibility, so will head to UMass Minutemen for 2023/2024 before hopefully netting an entry level deal.

Providence College Friars‘ Finnish-born, junior defenseman Uula Ruikka(22) will go for something new and maybe a little complete different, joining the new NCAA Division 1 Augustana College Vikings for primarily CCHA battle in 2023/2024.

The 5’9″ 168 lbs. blue liner has never been the biggest point-getting, grabbing 1 goal and 5 assists in 29 games last season.

Undrafted, the 22-year old may gain more notice and be a little more pivotal a player on his new college club.

Holy Cross College Crusaders‘ senior captain defenseman Nick Hale(7) is heading off for a graduate season at Ferris State University Falcons to try something a bit different for the Raleigh, NC native.

A small 5’9″ 165 lbs. blue liner, he still plays a very tough as nails, in your face in the zone style.

He had a college best 7 goals last season, but his junior year 18 assists and 22 points were highs.

The undrafted, 23-year old did one successful frame of juniors, winning the 2019 AJHL Championship with Brooks Bandits.

He will definitely gain more notice where he’s headed.

Boston University Terriers‘ freshman defenseman Lachlan Getz(15) enters the transfer portal and will next skate for Michigan Tech University Huskies in 2023/2024.

In 16 games, he didn’t record a point, but was a +2 rating.

The 6’3″ 190 lbs. was able to dish assists in high school hockey and had 19 a couple years ago in the BCHL with Chilliwack Chiefs.

From Northfield, IL, the 21-year old will likely do well in the CCHA.

University Of New Hampshire Wildcats‘ 2022/2023 commit Jake Dunlap(16) doesn’t essentially travel too far to head to school, just an hour up the road from where he was born in Windham, NH.

The small 5’9″ 170 lbs. forward with good hands had a breakout campaign with Northeast Generals in 2020/2021, scoring a junior best 10 goals and 17 assists in just 30 NAHL games.

He moved on this season before committing to school and skates for Madison Capitals with a tying 10 goals and 5 assists in 24 USHL games.

The 20-year old will definitely have to fight for his space in Hockey East, but that might just play into his style.

After 28 games, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists, he decides to head midwest, entering the transfer portal and coming out at Ohio State University Buckeyes for his sophomore season 2023/2024, joining his brother Joe Dunlap there.

Sacred Heart University Pioneers‘ Danish-born senior defenseman Jeppe Urup Mogensen(4) enters the transfer portal to start a graduate season at North Michigan University Wildcats 2023/2024.

A fairly big 6’2″ 196 lbs. blue liner played a decreasing amount of games in his time at his 1st school.

He played most of his junior hockey in Denmark and Sweden, but did come over for a very successful 2 team USHL run, scoring 16 points with a +26 rating.

The 24-year old can definitely contribute with more playing time.

Princeton University Tigers‘ senior defenseman Pito Walton(21) is going to take on a graduate season, heads into the transfer portal and will skate for Northeastern University Huskies in 2023/2024.

He played a college best 32 games last season, scoring new highs 7 goals and 14 assists.

The 6’2″ 192 lbs. blue liner from Peapack, NJ only did 1 year of BCHL junior hockey for Coquitlam Express before heading to school.

Undrafted at 23-years of age, he heads into Hockey East action, a place where he’s likely a bit familiar from matchups.
