The 5’10” 181 lbs. forward played up north for Chilliwack Chiefs and won the 2018 BCHL Championship in his 2nd season with the team, putting up a junior best 9 goals and 17 assists.
He had his best session scoring as a freshman, picking up 5 goals and 16 assists.
The 24-year old should be able to his point totals up a bit with the schedule his new team plays.

Bentley University Falcons‘ Slovakian-born, graduate student, left wing Phil Knies(38) will head home to start his pro career with HK Nitra.
Coming over from 4 years at Miami University (Ohio) Redhawks, he only played 10 games at the beginning of the season, scoring 2 goals and 6 assists.
The 5’9″ 170 lbs. forward came over early from his hometown, Bratislava, playing 2 USHL seasons with Sioux City Musketeers, putting up 21 goals and 20 assists in his 2nd session.
At 24-years old, he should be ready to be a pro rookie.

Undrafted defenseman Julian Kislin(8) will take his 4-year degree he earned at Northeastern University Huskies, while scoring a new college career high 2 goals and 4 assists in 34 NCAA Division 1 games into the transfer portal to agree to a graduate season for Sacred Heart University Pioneers.
He played his youth hockey close to home from his Manalapan, NJ, but left for a single session of juniors with Youngstown Phantoms, appearing in 31 USHL games with 3 goals and 8 assists.
The 6’1″ 190 lbs., 23-year old blue liner will likely take his game up even more in Atlantic Hockey style of play.

St. Lawrence University Saints‘ graduate Kaden Pickering(18) is going to accept a year of eligibility, heads into the transfer portal to arrive at Bemidji State University Beavers for 2022/2023 and the start of his MBA.
The 5’9″ 181 lbs. former senior captain scored a college career best 13 assists and 19 points.
He was quickly scooped for a college commit previous to his sophomore season at Northwood School USHS-Prep.
The Madrid, NY native went on to play a single session up north with Chilliwack Chiefs, getting 13 goals and 14 assists in 57 BCHL games.
We expect him to put up some good numbers with his new team.

Undrafted center Jackson Pierson(11) takes a new college career best 12 goals as a senior and a 4-year degree from University Of New Hampshire Wildcats into the transfer portal and arrives at University Of Notre Dame Fighting Irish for a year of eligibility.
He three times ascended to the 20+ point mark and had 19 as a freshman.
The 5’10” 171 lbs. forward had a pair of explosive seasons at Culver Military Academy Prep, scoring 88 points in 47 USHS-Prep games as a senior captain.
He’s still young at a 22-year old graduate, who only ever played 2 USHL games of junior hockey before arriving at school.
The Zionsville, IN native will definitely impress with his play in the Big Ten.

Bentley University Falcons‘ sophomore defenseman Drew Bavaro(22) absolutely came into his own in 2021/2022, scoring a new best 9 goals and 18 assists for 27 points and he will take that through the transfer portal to arrive at a brand new adventure with University Of Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The big 6’3″ 201 lbs. blue liner from Sarasota, FL came north for USHS-Prep at Lawrence Academy before heading to his only season of juniors with Wenatchee Wild.
In 51 BCHL games, he scored 9 goals and 24 assists.
The 21-year old is set to continue his accent in the Big Ten.

Skidmore College Thoroughbreds‘ senior captain, defenseman Austin Rook(2) takes D3 college career best 8 goals and 22 points and a trip to the Finals to a new journey, agreeing to a graduate season at new to NCAA Division 1 last year, Long Island University.
The 6’2″ 205 lbs. rock of a blue liner came up through 4 years at Rivers School USHS-Prep, followed by a pair of campaigns in the USPHL Premiere before taking it up to the NCDC with South Shore Kings and exiting with junior career highs 5 goals and 17 assists.
There is little doubt the 25-year old, Shrewsbury, MA native’s game play with elevate.

Undrafted defenseman Michael Underwood(5) will take his game in a year of eligibility to Michigan State University Spartans for a graduate season closer to home from 4 solid years of on ice accountability, a +26 rating at Clarkson University Golden Knights.
From his stats going back to a pair of years of junior with Aston Rebels, then a step up to Green Bay Gamblers for a campaign of USHL before committing to college.
The 23-year old, 6’1″ 198 lbs. blue liner from Bloomsfield, MI should add to his totals.

Defenseman Derek Hamelin(58) will take his game on a new adventure, signing up for a graduate year at University Of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves after completing 4 with Canisius College Golden Griffins.
The 5’11” 170 lbs. blue liner pretty much had his points settle where they have since sophomore season at 4, but what’s more impressive is he was able to stay a -1 rating on a team that didn’t exactly always win.
A Mercier, QC native, he arrived in the United States early in his development to move onto a year of USHL junior hockey, but would split the next session and finish up in the BCHL before hitting school.
The 25-year old will probably has his best year with the non-divisional team.

Undrafted center Cam Burke(10) will use his year of eligibility to come home and do a graduate year at Boston College Eagles after finishing up four at University Of Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Boxborough, MA native played a college career high games 38 NCAA Division 1 games as a senior, scoring new bests 8 goals and 11 assists for 19 points.
He was a top scorer at high school and did a pair of USHL seasons before committing to school.
The 5’10” 170 lbs. forward will likely find Hockey East challenging, but do well in the division.
