University Of New England Nor’easters‘ goaltender Billy Girard(1) will take a step up, enter the transfer portal and do a graduate frame at Boston University Terriers for 2024/2025.

The 6’1″ 201 lbs. net minder was actually the EHL goalie of the year in his 2nd season with Boston Jr. Rangers with a 28-6-1 record.

He will no doubt fight for playing time, but we feel he could step in and steal some as well.

From Boca Raton, FL, this is a great, maybe a bit unlikely D3 development for the 25-year old.

5th year defenseman Blake Thompson(8) is taking his game overseas for 2022/2023, signing with Cardiff Devils.

The 6’1″ 205 lbs. blue liner is coming off a career year, scoring a new best 20 assists and 25 points.

He even scored a 1 AHL game loan up to Hartford Wolf Pack.

The former St. Norbert College Green Knights‘ d-man twice had close to 20 assists in a frame.

We think the 29-year old is going to find good room in the EIHL to continue to elevate his game.

He returns home from a pair of decent frames overseas and signs a 1-year ECHL deal with South Carolina Stingrays for 2024/2025.

Boston Jr. Terriers‘ 7-game start goaltender Colin Rowbotham(31) commits some pretty awesome stats in a losing record (2-5, 1.96 GAA and .945 SV%) to Anna Maria College AMCATS in hopes the large 6’5″ 195 lbs. can grab the starting duties for 2024/2025.

From Delano, MN, he did similar things in USHS-MN, but since has been a little under radar for such a big guy.

He’s 21-years old and we bet can’t wait to get started.

Northeast Generals‘ 2nd year right wing Michael Locke(13) takes some phenomenal NA3HL scoring last season with 13 goals, 41 assists for 54 points in 44 games with a +32 rating to his 2024/2025 commit at Manhattanville University Valiants.

The 6′ 170 lbs. forward from Wakefield, MA should score in college like he did in juniors.

At 20-years old, he is likely ready to make the next step in his hockey career.
