Junior goaltender Matthew Hennessey(30) posted a 3-0 shutout in the game to cinch the appearance in a season where he posted a 17-3-2 record with a 1.83 GAA and .945 SV% and was named Player Of The Year.
They traveled to face-off against University Of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils to advance.

Albertus Magnus College Falcons‘ senior left wing Caden Pattison(21) takes college best scoring 11 assists and 15 points to a 1st pro contract with Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.
The big 6’3″ 205 lbs. forward has played 3 SPHL with no points, but is a +1 rating.
He did most of 3 NAHL seasons with Maine Nordiques.
From Lake Stevens, WA, the 24-year old should show signs of life scoring points as a pro.

Keene State College Owls‘ senior left wing Payton Jones(88) signs a 1st pro deal with Biloxi Breakers after his 2025/2026 college season came to a close.
The 6′ 205 lbs. forward has skated 2 FPHL without any points yet.
He only played 8 games in his final frame.
As a junior, he had a college best 6 assists and 8 points after he came over to the new D3 program from 2 years at Franklin Pierce University Ravens.
From Cedar Park, TX, the 24-year old came up through the junior ranks, ending with 2 New Jersey 87’s EHL sessions before college.

UMASS Dartmouth Corsairs‘ sophomore left wing Tyler Stewart(44) finished 2023/2024 with a team leading 17 goals and new high 27 points in 25 games.
This sets a new marks in tallies, eclipsing the 10 he posted last season.
The 6′ 181 lbs. forward is going to miss the mark set as a freshman for assists, as he had 13 and rounded out with 10.
From Pittsburgh, PA, the 22-year had two successful NAHL seasons for Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
His college team is playing pretty impressively this season and we think he continues to take his scoring up.
He takes phenomenal senior scoring, 21 goals and 24 assists in 25 games to a 1st pro contract with Knoxville Ice Bears, where in 3 games, he has a 1st SPHL goal and 2 assists.

Rookie left wing Ben Pizzimenti(33) started his pro career with Columbus River Dragons, scoring 6 goals and 6 assists in 22 FPHL games with a +1 rating to get loaned up to Birmingham Bulls, where he notched 2 assists in 12 SPHL games.
The 6’2″ 194 lbs. forward was waived, but immediately grabbed by Macon Mayhem.
From Cedar Rapids, IA spent 3 years at Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons, but left after a junior season of little use.
The 24-year old will need to continue to play himself into spots for ice time.
After 2 games with no points, he is waived and returns to the lower league with Pee Dee Ice Cats.

Boston Jr. Bruins‘ Slovakian-born left wing Simon Mateas(7) elevated his game to USPHL/NCDC level from scoring a bit outrageously playing for the USPHL Premier club.
The 5’11” 170 lbs. forward has selected Elmira College Soaring Eagles as his commitment for 2026/2027.
He has 17 goals and 24 assists scoring in 48 games this session.
The 19-year old is going to be a nice addition to UCHC play.

Worcester Jr. Railers‘ 1st year center Travis Rugg(16) takes some impressive USPHL/NCDC scoring with 18 goals and 25 assists in 47 games to his 2026/2027 commit at Babson College Beavers.
The plays big 6’2″ 190 lbs. power forward did 3 years at the local high before heading to USHS-Prep for his senior run.
From Hingham, MA, the 20-year old should score well in Little East hockey.

Northern Cyclones‘ 2nd year center captain Riley Casey(15) takes some junior scoring highs with 14 goals and 15 assists in the current frame that he will take to a 2026/2027 commmit at Elmira College Soaring Eagles.
The big 6’4″ 190 lbs. forward plays the power forward style all the way.
From Burlington, VT, the 20-year old should produce well in the UCHC.

Assumption University Greyhounds‘ senior defenseman John Woernle(7) had a best 3 goals and 2nd 16 assists in his final frame that he took to a 1st pro deal with Evansville Thunderbolts for his rookie season, 2025/2026.
In 13 games, the 6’1″ 185 lbs. blue liner has 3 assists with a -2 rating.
He scored 22 assists as a junior.
From Wellesley, MA, the 25-year old did 2 productive EHL years with New England Wolves that he worked up from EHLP.
With 4 assists in 32 SPHL games, he gets traded to Fayettesville Marksmen, who look to use his size maybe a little more effectively.

Castleton University Spartans‘ senior defenseman Logan Dapprich(7) looks to set college high scoring this season with 1 goal and 8 assists puts him on 1 tally away from tying previous bests.
The 6’2″ 181 lbs. blue liner did 2 years juniors before committing to Rivier University Raiders as a freshman.
From Amherst, MA, the 24-year old should continue to do well.
He scores 6 goals and 13 assists in 26 games last season, all college bests and signs a 1st pro contract, a pto with Birmingham Bulls of the SPHL.
