Rookie center Adam Rockwood(51) will skate for Springfield Thunderbirds in 2019/2020 after signing an ato upon finishing up at North Michigan University.
In his first 4 AHL games, he scored a goal and 3 assists with a +3 rating on a non-playoff bound club before being released, but is back after the recent transaction.
The small-ish 5’10” 165 lbs. forward has twice led teams he’s played for in assists.
First, with hometown Coquitlam Express in the BCHL, he amassed 61 helpers in his 2nd year and then as a junior in college put up a massive NCAA Division 1 leading 40 assists.
With a little more weight put on his bones, the 23-year old just may grab the attention of parent club Florida Panthers as he starts his pro career.
He already attended Vancouver Canucks‘ rookie camps on more than one occasion.
