6th year left wing Andrew Clark(57) is absolutely on fire in his third campaign with HC Innsbruck scoring 11 goals and 25 assists for 36 points in 22 EBEL games, which leads the league in assists and points.
He was a more than a point-per-game player in his first pair of seasons with the team.
At 30-years old, he must feel pretty settled in his new-ish hockey home and will likely stay put but could also decide to return to North America to pursue life after the skates have left the ice.
Andrew Clark (11)
A couple of months into his rookie year as he was continuing to put up more than point-per-game numbers (14-21-35 in 31 contests) he was loaned to Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
He adjusted fairly quickly in the higher league and stayed almost until the end of the regular season, when he was released to join Stockton for their 2014 Kelly Cup Playoff push.
In the AHL he managed 7 goals and 12 assists in 35 games on a team that struggled to get wins.
For 2014/2015 he made a somewhat unexpected move signing for a year with Esbjerg Energy of Denmark’s Metal Ligaen.
His 25 goals and 50 assists for 75 points in a full schedule of 36 games were easily league bests.
Now 27-years old he easily moves up a level agreeing for 2015/2016 with Rapperswil-Jona Lakers of the tier two NLB Swiss hockey, where he’ll almost assuredly continue to be a big scoring threat.
Andrew Clark (21)
Undrafted left wing Andrew Clark(21) signed a one-year deal to continue with Stockton Thunder for his rookie season.
Taking a longer route than most players before turning pro, he spent four seasons in juniors with Brandon Wheat Kings and then headed off to Acadia University, where he continued the scoring tear he started in his final WHL campaign, putting up more than a point-per-game.
The 5’11” 178 lbs. forward signed an ato when he was finished with his college career and promptly got right to dotting the score sheet with points.
In 4 ECHL games he notched 3 goals and a pair of helpers.
He stayed on course through 22 Kelly Cup Playoff contests, adding another 7 tallies and 14 assists, good enough for third on the team in playoff points.
The 25-year old could find himself on a short list for a call-up, if he can stay hot.
