Antoine-Laganiere

5th year left wing Antoine Laganiere(28) put together a career high 21 goals and 16 assists for 37 points in 64 AHL games with a -1 rating and a rock solid 155 shots on net under contract to San Diego Gulls.

For the big Quebec-born forward it equals a nice switch to play in Liiga, signing with Assat for 2017/2018.

The 27-year old should do well in Finland’s top league.

Antoine Laganiere(28) San Diego Gulls

Anaheim Ducks‘ left wing Antoine Laganiere(28) finished his first year with 10 goals, 8 assists in 72 games and given an extension for a second season.

In his sophomore campaign he upped his totals in the AHL playing a new high 73 contests and scoring 14 goals and 21 points.

He still carried a -6 plus/minus but was on a team that found ways to lose on a nightly basis.

The now 25-year old enters his third season signed to a minor league deal with his former NHL contract team’s affiliate San Diego Gulls.

It would be surprising if he didn’t increase his game to another level.

Anaheim Ducks‘ undrafted rookie center Antoine Laganiere(28) won the 2013 NCAA Championship with Yale University Bulldogs in the final year of his college career.

The big 6’5″ and lanky 205 lbs. forward flew under the radar through most of his school playing time but then started to picks up steam in his third campaign and that peaked with the title in 2012/2013.

Scouted as a bit slow on his skates and having a less than smooth style he began to gain notice as a potential power forward despite the setbacks.

He’s somewhat proving his critics wrong with a decent showing of 8 goals and 7 assists, while unloading a healthy 123 shots on net through 63 AHL games with minor league affiliate Norfork Admirals, but also has a less than accountable -8 rating.

The 23-year old is signed through the current season but looks to be a shoe-in for a qualifying offer and with some more hard work put into his game may just get his shot at cracking the NHL.
