Bobby-Farnham

7th year left wing Bobby Farnham(26) signed a one-year extension with Springfield Thunderbirds after joining the team on an unrestricted free agent tryout early last season and scoring an spc a month into his time with the team.

He scored a career tying 11 goals in 69 AHL games in 2017/2018.

This came off a one-year deal with Montreal Canadiens, where he added 3 more NHL games to his career totals of 67 at the midway point of the campaign.

In the previous season he played a full slate of games, making the opening night roster of Pittsburgh Penguins but only lasted three contests before being put on waivers to be claimed by New Jersey Devils, where he finished out the year with 50 appearances and 6 fighting majors.

The 29-year old has yet to skate a game in 2018/2019 but you can almost bet once he’s inserted into the lineup, he will likely stick.

Bobby Farnham (24)

It was a dream come true for Pittsburgh Penguins‘ 3rd year undrafted pugulist right wing Bobby Farnham(24) to score a recall and play in his first NHL game.

He skated 9 even strength shifts for a minimal 5:31 ice time, had one hit and mixed it up in the opening frame for his first big league fighting major.

The not-so-big 5’10” 188 lbs. already has 7 AHL bouts this season and 30 in his career.

A former Brown University forward signed his first one-year deal with Wheeling Nailers.

He lasted all of 9 ECHL games (3 goals, 1 assist), including four 5-minute stays in the penalty box before being called-up to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he would be offered an spc one month in to his visit and basically never left.

That is until the parent club took notice and signed him to a one-year deal for his sophomore campaign and although he played the full season with the farm team it was good enough to get him re-upped for another.

And now he’s in the show and although it may have a time limit now, if he continues to demonstrate he can contribute he’d be a low cap hit for a team that may be looking for someone that plays his style.

Undrafted left wing Bobby Farnham(37) has been on a little trip in search of a contract.

Upon completing his college career with Brown University Bears  last season he signed on with the team down the street, Providence Bruins.

He skated in three games with the “hometown” team before being released and inked another ato with another local team just up the highway, Worcester Sharks.

He also lasted a few contests with them, concluding the regular season registering no points on the scoresheet.

The 5’10” 180 lbs. forward was offered a training camp tryout look by Hamilton Bulldogs but was cut a week before the start of 2012/2013.

From their he made the 6 hour drive to West Virginia and has agreed to a contract with the ECHL Wheeling Nailers and is on the opening night roster ready to officially start his pro career.
