Montreal Canadiens‘ 6th year defenseman Brett Kulak(17) gets re-upped to stay another three years in the system.
It’s actually his first contract with the club after being obtained in a trade from draft team Calgary Flames , who signed him to a one-way deal upon completing an NHL season in the prior campaign.
The versatile blue liner scored a career high 6 goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 57 games with a +12 rating on a non-playoff squad.
The 25-year old seems to be arriving with a new deal worth a very comfortable 1.85M AAV but did spend 19 AHL with affiliate Laval Rocket, so definitely needs to be always stepping it up.
