New Jersey Devils‘ 6th round pick in the 2015 draft (#157 overall) rookie left wing Brett Seney(43) started his first season with affiliate Binghamton Devils but less than a month in was recalled and made a sound enough effort to stick.
In 51 NHL games on a team that struggled to string together wins he had 5 goals and 8 assists.
The small 5’9″ 170 lbs. forward was sent back down to the farm club in late February, where he has 2 goals and 16 assists in 23 AHL games, including 4 multi-point efforts.
He’s definitely proven that even despite the lack of size, he has the ability to put up points.
In four years at Merrimack College he was a three time 10+ goal scorer and in each campaign grabbed 10+ assists, 21 as a junior.
The 23-year old will no doubt be competing for a spot in the upcoming training camp and may just turn it into a full-season up in the show.
