11th year center Casey Pierro-Zabotel(18) joins an ECHL Eastern Conference team for the first time since 2014/2015, when he was in his third season with Atlanta Gladiators.

A veteran of 565 games in the league, his time in the Western Conference was certainly fruitful from the get-go.

He won a first 2016 Kelly Cup with Allen Americans, then followed it up with a 2nd 2017 Championship skating for Colorado Eagles scoring a career high 64 assists and 88 points.

Originally a Pittsburgh Penguins‘ 3rd round pick in the 2007 draft (#80 overall), he was signed to a three-year entry level deal after posting a WHL leading 79 assists and 115 points for Vancouver Giants.

He played only 9 AHL games for affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins but was mostly reassigned to Wheeling Nailers, where he was close to a point-per-game performer.

In his next season he was again sent down but then was first loaned to Cincinnati Cyclones, then had his rights traded to Bakersfield Condors for the last year of his contract.

The 30-year old has a phenomenal 150 goals and 357 assist for 507 to his credit and may not add huge scoring to Adirondack Thunder although 2 goals and 2 assists in 7 games is a nice start, but also gives the team plenty of leadership.
