Mercyhurst University Lakers‘ freshman net minder Charles-Edward Gravel(29) started 27 games last season before the school informed its’ players of it’s suspension of D1 sports, forcing players to find other options and he will head to Atlantic Hockey rival, Niagara University Purple Eagles as a sophomore in 2026/2027.

The 6’1″ 197 lbs. goalie did 5 years QMJHL before switching to the BCHL, running some pretty outstanding numbers before college.

From Levis, QC, the 22-year should do much better with his new college hockey team.
