Unreal big, former Clarkson University Golden Knights‘ defenseman (6’7″ 238 lbs.) Connor Murphy(2) signs a two-year deal with the newly named Bridgeport Islanders starting in the upcoming 2021/2022 season.
Not exactly a huge point scorer, one look at his junior year numbers (9 goals, 11 assists in 34 NCAA ECAC games) reflects what we think is more possible as a pro.
The LaSalle, QC native has shown good consistency with being reliable in his own zone through college and two years of junior play in the BCHL for Chilliwack Chiefs, where in his 2nd campaign really broke out.
At 25-years old and based on the size of this young man, this is a signing that almost can’t possibly go wrong.
