9th year, former San Jose Sharks‘ 1st round pick in the 2005 draft (#8 overall) signed a pto by Toronto Maple Leafs to attend their training camp in hopes of finding a spot with the team for the 2015/2016 season.
He’s a 3-time 20-goal scorer (all with the Sharks) and even struck for 31 in his sophomore campaign 2008/2009.
The 6′ 205 lbs. split last season with Calgary Flames (12 games, no points) and their affiliate Adirondack Flames (19 games, 3 goals, 7 assists) but found himself on the sidelines as a healthy scratch on far too many occasions.
He bounced around a bit in the three previous years skating two for Minnesota Wild and one with Winnipeg Jets performing decently but failed to live up to what he achieved earlier in his career.
The 28-year old was cut a couple of weeks before the start of the new season and is headed overseas signing a one-year deal to join HC Davos of Switzerland’s NLA.
