UMass-Boston Beacons‘ junior, right wing Evan Googins(9) plays the game like a player obsessed.

In the opening round of the Codfish Bowl games at their home rink, he opened up for 2 tallies and his helper was on the game-winner for a 4-1 win to head to the Finals.

The 5’11” 190 lbs. forward came over from a pair of seasons at Norwich University Cadets, where he was basically inactive on their roster and failed to connect much on the scoresheet.

Heading to the closer school to his Braintree, MA home has paid off big, as he’s already good for new D3 college career best totals with 3 goals and 2 assists in 11 games.

He plays a hard-nosed style out there and will be a player to watch as he turns to his senior year.
