Undrafted 3rd year center Gage Quinney(18) heads home (kind of) signing an NHL two-year entry deal with Vegas Golden Knights.
He was maybe oddly born there and played some of his junior hockey with Las Vegas Storm prior to signing on with Prince Albert Raiders, where he stuck for a year and a half before being sent to Kelowna Rockets and he happened to win the 2015 WHL Championship.
The 5’11” 190 lbs. forward was there a short time but eventually finished with Kamloops Blazers putting up point per game stats (27-23-50) in 48 games.
His first contract came with Wheeling Nailers.
As a rookie he recorded 18 goals and 26 assists in 45 ECHL games.
Invited to skate Pittsburgh Penguins‘ training camps, he signed on with affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for his sophomore campaign and almost naturally took it up scoring 14 goals and 19 assists in 55 AHL games with a +5 rating.
The 22-year old will likely spend plenty of time with their minor league club Chicago Wolves but look for him to get a look.
Can you imagine that debut?
