4th year defenseman Garrett Noonan(77) signed a one-year extension to stay with Hartford Wolf Pack heading into 2017/2018.
He appeared in 6 AHL games recording a pair of assists, which seemed to get him off to a bit of a hot start for a player that had only 3 helpers in 26 contests last season.
Less than a month into the new calendar though, he was to be reassigned down to affiliate Greenville Swamp Rabbits but instead sought to be released from his contract.
The 6’1″ 209 lbs. one month later left to explore opportunities in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga joining Medvescak Zagreb, where he should be able to produce numbers that rival what he did as a sophomore skater with Cincinnati Cyclones (9-34-43 in 55 ECHL games).
Originally a Nashville Predators‘ 4th round pick in the 2011 draft (#112 overall), he was in the prospect system for two years after graduating Boston University.
The 26-year old quite possibly has made a great decision to continue his career overseas.
