Undrafted 3rd year Czech Republic-born center Jan Mandat(15) decides to head back home to continue his hockey career after two seasons in the AHL in New Jersey Devils‘ prospect system.
He agrees to a one-year deal with HC Dynamo Pardubice of Tipsport Extraliga, where he should flourish much better than he has in North America.
The 6′ 205 lbs. forward appeared in 116 games with affiliates Albany and Binghamton Devils scoring just 10 goals and 13 assists after coming off solid 4th year with Val-d’Or Foreurs (20-44 in 62 QMJHL contests).
At just 22-years old he will likely do well and move up to some better leagues overseas.
