New Jersey Devils‘ 3rd year Finnish-born left wing Janne Kuokkanen(59) receives his first recall from new club after detonating the score sheet upon arrival to affiliate Binghamton Devils after a deal from draft team Carolina Hurricanes (2nd round, 2016, #43 overall).

Through 4 AHL games he has three goals and three assists with a +1 rating, which puts him at new career high marks with 15 goals, 33 assists and 48 points.

In his Garden State debut, he skated 20 shifts for 12:04 of total ice, had three hits and one giveaway with no points in a 5-2 loss.

It was his first NHL appearance this season but he did play 11 games previously with no scoring.

He also had a one Liiga game appearance with Karpat getting 2 goals before arriving overseas for a season with London Knights of the OHL.

The still very young 21-year old still has another season left on his entry level deal, so still has time to connect and the thinking definitely has to be once he does it could open up big for the 6’1″ 193 lbs. forward.
