7th year unrestricted group 6 free agent defenseman Jarred Tinordi(24) signs for 2018/2019 with Nashville Predators after a career campaign in the minors for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins scoring 5 goals, 16 assists and 21 points with a +19 rating in 62 AHL games, while under contract to Pittsburgh Penguins.
Originally a Montreal Canadiens‘ 1st round pick in the 2010 draft (#22 overall), he’s skated 53 NHL games grabbing a pair of assists in each of his first three actual game recalls but was unable to add to that total after a trade sent him to Arizona Coyotes.
He spent a year in their system playing mostly for affiliate Tuscon Roadrunners before leaving to return east.
The extremely large 6’6″ 225 lbs. blue liner is still just 26-years old and maybe a bit of a late bloomer with potentially some of his best seasons still ahead of him.
