Jean-Dupuy

Undrafted 3rd year center Jean Dupuy(24) decided to take 2018/2019 off from pro hockey and has come to the decision to head to school agreeing to St. Francis Xavier University for 2019/2020.

Originally signed to a 3-year entry level deal by Buffalo Sabres that kicked in for the final campaign of his junior hockey career with Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, he spent two seasons with affiliate Rochester Americans serving as an assistant captain in his 2nd year but was not given a qualifying offer to continue.

The unrestricted free agent inked with Toronto Marlies for his next move but found himself mostly reassigned to Orlando Solar Bears, where he put in 9 goals and 15 assists in 33 ECHL games.

His 17 AHL games scoring 3 goals would probably not likely see him return.

The 24-year old has made a wise decision to get an education and could return to play more hockey when he’s finished a degree program.
