4th year right wing Jimmy Lodge(14) signs on to Kalamazoo Wings for 2018/2019 after spending most of last season with Jacksonville Icemen on reassignment from Manitoba Moose.
Originally a Winnipeg Jets‘ 3rd round pick in the 2013 draft (#84 overall) he was signed to a three-year entry level deal that was up at the end of last year and not qualified.
He had a fantastic run in the ECHL in 2017/2018 scoring 17 goals, a team leading 32 assists and +22 rating in 57 games on a non-playoff team.
His best campaign in the upper league was as a sophomore skater, when he grabbed 8 goals and 10 assists in 63 AHL contests.
The 6’1″ 175 lbs. forward was able to collect lots of points through 4 years of the OHL, where he was more than a point-per-game skater as a 2nd year player and close to that mark in his final season.
As a 23-year old he looks to still have time to push up those totals further and if he can elevate those numbers with his new club may look overseas for a next adventure.
